WASHINGTON--The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will early next week, possibly as soon as Monday, officially declare carbon dioxide a public danger, a trigger that could mean regulation for emitters across the economy, according to several people close to the matter.
Such an "endangerment" decision is necessary for the EPA to move ahead early next year with new emission standards for cars. EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson has said it could also mean large emitters such as power stations, cement kilns, crude-oil refineries and chemical plants would have to curb their greenhouse gas output.
The announcement would also give President Barack Obama and his climate envoy negotiating leverage at a global climate summit starting next week in Copenhagen, Denmark and increase pressure on Congress to pass a climate bill that would modify the price of polluting.
While environmentalists celebrate EPA's authority to regulate greenhouse gases, it has caused many large emitters to cringe at the potential costs of compliance.
According to a preliminary endangerment finding published in April, EPA scientists fear that man-made carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases are contributing to a warming of the global climate. Senior EPA officials said in November the agency would likely make a final decision in December around the time of the summit.
Joe Mendelson, Global Warming Policy Director for National Wildlife Federation, said the endangerment decision, would happen at "absolutely the right time."
"With House legislation passed, a bipartisan Senate bill in the works, and strong EPA action a virtual certainty, the president goes to Copenhagen with a very strong hand to play," Mr. Mendelson said.
The EPA declaration would also ratchet up the pressure on U.S. lawmakers to pass legislation that analysts say would cut emissions in a more economically efficient way. Although the House has passed a climate bill, movement of similar

You got it! That’s the whole bases for this sham! When news leaked out on the e-mails-—John Kerry asked that 10 Billion dollars be taken out early and given to the UN to show the UN that we are serious about the US reducing it’s carbon footprints even though the facts and science around this whole climate gig have been fudged. It would seem despite the truth being leaked from those e-mails; the governments are bent on the New World Order agenda.

The Supreme Court has declared that the EPA can regulate anything connected with the dangerous pollutant, CO2.
It’s looking like nothing short of a NATIONAL STRIKE will get their attention.

Meanwhile the Russians get a credit for reduced emissions from when their economy tanked in the 90’s. Presumably the US will get a credit for the emissions we lost due to the Depression we are in.

If everyone at the EPA quit breathing out CO2 it would help a lot...there would be less CO2 poisoning our planet..they could just hold their breath until dead.
The question is this: There are 3 billion people on this planet and billions more animal life...Since every creature defecates once a day and has been doing so for millions of years, why isn't the earth piled mountain high in feces?
I just want to see the look on their faces as they try to answer that...crude yes, but a question to be answered..
I guess the planet takes care of itself without politicians turning everything into a crisis..
They aren't scientists, and it's understandable that they would trust the science evidence presented. Now that this evidence has proved to be fiction, the ruling should be reversed ASAP.
Obama wants BOTH cap and trade AND a Carbon Tax, so the Government can pay for socialized medicine (the Public Option that we will all be force to have).
Its like, “Where does Global Warming go on a cold day?” That funny Global Warming must be hiding up there in the clouds, and doesn’t want to come out today!

Yup simple science we learned in first grade. We also learned that the Sun heats the earth, something the Alarmist also dismiss as having nothing to do with “Global Warming”.
