Science: For two years, our space agency has refused Freedom of Information requests on why it has repeatedly corrected its climate figures. A leading researcher threatens to sue to find more inconvenient truths.
What's become known as "Climate-Gate" may be about to explode on this side of the pond as well. Chris Horner, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, has threatened a lawsuit against NASA if by year-end the agency doesn't honor his FOI requests for information on how and why its climate numbers have been consistently adjusted for errors.
"I assume that what is there is highly damaging," says Horner, who suspects, based on the public record, the same type of data fudging, manipulation and suppression that has occurred at Britain's East Anglia Climate Research Unit. "These guys (NASA) are quite clearly determined not to reveal their internal discussions about this."
They may have good reason. NASA was caught with its thermometers down when James Hansen, head of NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, announced that 1998 was the country's hottest year on record, with 2006 the third hottest.
NASA and Goddard were forced to correct the record in 2007 to show that 1934, decades before the advent of the SUV, was in fact the warmest. In fact, the new numbers showed that four of the country's 10 warmest years were in the 1930s.
Hansen, who began the climate scare some two decades ago, was caught fudging the numbers again in declaring October 2008 the warmest on record. This despite the fact that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration had registered 63 local snowfall records and 115 lowest-ever temperatures for the month, and ranked it as only the 70th-warmest October in 114 years.

Where did these “experts” get their atrocious science education? Their university degrees should be revoked for this fraudulent behavior. They have all the integrity of pharma company scientists who lie about their clinical trials, thus endangering the lives of millions of patients when the resulting prescriptions cause damage to health.

NASA has used this to make budget scores with congressman and will withhold the data to ensure they keep the budget in the Obama administration. They budget in now in great danger.

How can we believe “scientists” any more? I’m sceptical about just about everything. I don’t believe their (lefty) hysteria about anything. It’s like the boy that cried wolf.
Has anyone noticed the change in wind direction over the last two weeks? I think the ball game is just about over. Just need a few politicians to wake up and look at the thermometer.
James Hansen needs to be stripped of his academic credentials.
That should happen to all of those involved in hiding the data. They need to be publicly shunned too. Jail is not too harsh either.

The claims against anthropogenic global warming skeptics are often the same: they’re all shills for big oil or other industry wishing to poke holes in the ‘consensus theory’ of global warming (which isn’t a consensus at all). Under the so-called “politicization of science” program, George Soros’ (the favorite fundraiser of many democrats) has reportedly given as much as $720,000 to Hansen to help package his alarmist claims and get them pushed by the mainstream media (The Soros Threat to Democracy):
How many people, for instance, know that James Hansen, a man billed as a lonely “NASA whistleblower” standing up to the mighty U.S. government, was really funded by Soros’ Open Society Institute , which gave him “legal and media advice”?
That’s right, Hansen was packaged for the media by Soros’ flagship “philanthropy,” by as much as $720,000, most likely under the OSI’s “politicization of science” program.
So he got some big paychecks from Soros - but was there a quid pro quo? The evidence certainly indicates as much:

This leftist (not “scientist”) Hanson is a intellect criminal. His disregard for scientific method requires that he be fired, scorned and humiliated. What a total loser. Even his family m8ust be embarrassed and feel he is a jerk and nincompoop. If he had a shred of integrity he would tour the country with a dunk-machine. This would allow everyone who cared to to further humiliate this poor excuse for a “scientist”. Loser!!!!
