I like this part.
The book's final paragraph, meanwhile, reads like an altar call, the part of a church service when pew sitters are invited to commit their lives to Christ.
These folks are so distant from the religious, that they think they need to explain what an altar call is.
Talk about outing yourself...

Jeez, I hope not.
The “I hate James Dobson” crowd here at Free Republic alone would send her spiralling to the dumps.

She just wrote that so the secular humanists would all have a stroke. /sarc

I’m quite sure USN&WR intends this in a perjorative way, but some things are more important than politics. I wholly laud Palin for not cowtowing to the MSM by shrinking back from her faith. Although the left will certainly work to smear her as a Taliban wannabe, the fact is, is that Palin is a courageous lion. Sure would like to see some men step up with half the courage Palin has already demonstrated.

Algore worshiping pagans trying to write about Sarah's Christian beliefs and values.
To: Responsibility2nd
And it’s those who know nothing about Dobson who hate him the most.

"Is Sarah Palin the Next James Dobson?"
I get so tired of this liberal crap-speak...it's pathetic.
You hear it all the time these days, like "brown is the new black", or "60 is the new 40". What a load of crap...some metro-liberal turned 60 and can't take it, so declared himself to be only 40...women have been doing that for years.
No, Sarah Palin is NOT the next James Dobson. James Dobson has been previously villified by the left, so they're trying to attach Sarah to him in a "guilt by association" ploy. These are the same people who condone obama being buddies with Ayers and Wright...who knew?
Well, we stood by the past decade or so and let the leftie atheists somehow "shame" us into hiding our faith, shame on us. However, we look at our present administration and we see what publicly abandoning our faith has brought us - at least a stand-in for the anti-crist and a slipperly slide into the godless religions of communism and socialism.
Maybe it's the wrath of God for abandoning him that besets our country...or maybe a breach of faith just made us all too complacent and afraid to speak up.
Whatever it was that caused it, it's here now and we don't have much more to lose...and our kids and grandkids are turning out to be the biggest losers of all.
Time to start speaking up, and now that they are schemeing to silence our one news outlet and our few sources of the truth, it's time to tell them to cram their "tax exemption" and start speaking up in Church too. The whole civil rights movement was carried out in the black churches of America, and THEY won...so why not?
ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS - FEAR IS NOT AN OPTION.

Excellent post, FrankR! (J. Frank, sitting on my knee, thinks so, too. He also thinks he’d like to put the keyboard in his mouth ...)

Sarah Palin is the next Sarah Palin. That's all.
I wish everyone would stop the comparisons. At the end of the day, she is her own woman and will be completely different than those she's being compared with.

Thanks...I just thought of a good closing line I should have used...”Liberalism is the new Communism”.

I think she will be more like Teddy Roosevelt. She is not blindly pro business, she is not blindly pro free trade, she believes in small government, lower taxes, less regulations, but she is not naive to believe that corporations and businesses should be unmonitored. She dealt with big business and politician corruption/collaboration in Alaska and she kicked them all in the you know where. I think behind the scenes Wall Street and big business are funding and egging the left, RINO’s and corporate owned MSM to attack her at every level. They know what would happen to them (big business and Wall Street) if Gov Palin becomes POTUS. Unlike Obama who is brought and paid for by Wall Street, Gov Palin will do what every suffering Main Street American want, she will come after them for what they did to the US economy.

"...its those who know nothing about Dobson who hate him the most."
Yup - and how many know that "Pistol" Pete Maravich died in Dobson's arms during a pick-up basketball game?
And Dobson just shares common-sense Biblical solutions to life issues - how bloody divisive could that be?
