"My main interest right now is to make sure that this manufactured controversy does not distract policy makers,"

The only thing "manufactured" was the data used to prove AGW

If following the money leads to him he’s in trouble. But the Albert Spear of the Global Warming Reich, Al Gore, gets hard time. The shredders must be working overtime in the TN mansion.

Why on Earth would any of these real scientists have “a score to settle”? It’s not like Mann and his group of enviro-frauds tried to destroy their careers or anything...

Wait, they did try to destroy their scientific careers based on fraudulent science, politicization of the peer-review process, and conspiracy with the journalists to box out any science that contradicted their crockpot theories...

I hope the scores are settled REAL GOOD and only the real scientists are left standing...

"My main interest right now is to make sure that this manufactured controversy does not distract policy makers," said Mann

This has been the main interest of the AGW skeptics as well, to make sure that the manufactured controversy that is Global Climate Research doesn't drive stupid expensive wealth-sucking policy decisions...

Gee, just imagine how those poor “deniers” felt when you colluded with your editor buddies on the “peer reviewed journals” to blackball anyone that might expose your scam.

Climate Change Criminal Conspiracy Continues

The Warmers are trying to turn perspective from criminal conspiracy into a soap opera. Those Warmers love their fiction. They are fine with crime.

Where is the prosecution?

Hey Mann.... SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP. What do you have to say about the deleted data in the tree ring graphs, you know the data after 1960 YOU DELETED because it didn’t match your Urban area temp readings, the Heat island stuff? Yea that deleted data.

YOU SHOULD BE IN PRISON you bastard.

Yes, I realize the number of unique and new stories about climategate is probably not much more than 10000 or so today. But I think it is neat to see how those limited number of new stories morph into millions of new hits on servers through out the world within hours.

“They’ve taken scientists’ words and phrases and quoted them out of context, completely misrepresenting what they were saying.”

Thankfully, the FORTRAN code does not lie, however, Mr Mann, you do.

It’s worse than just academic and scientific fraud.
It’s worse than defrauding taxpayers for grant money.

These people intended to use their findings to turn the world into some Orwellian hellhole.

It’s criminal. It’s a crime against humanity.

A while back they were talking about the need to prosecute and punish “the deniers”. Well, Buttercup (as you so aptly termed him), time to pay the piper.

Psychopaths always play the victim card when caught.

His parents probably kept it really really warm in his room when he was little.

Excellent point. His own words indict him. He is not a dispassionate scientist searching for fact. He is an activist seeking a determined outcome. He is nothing more than a mere political lobbyist cloaked as a scientist.

Alumni that I know have been contacting the University in droves, witholding contributions until they have answers. I don’t believe Penn State will let this one slide...

There’s a bar scene in “I Married an Ax Murderer”, where the Mark Meyers character performs in a small bar/club setting. People stand up and do their best Beatnik stuff. It’s metered stuff, and is read to the sparse tones of a three piece or so jazz band.

In the movie, Meyers does a bit on women, during which he uses the word woman pronounced “Wo Man” with emphasis. If you had seen the movie, you would have gotten the connotation.

Thanks for the response. I realize this is much more than you wanted to know, but what the hey.

Thanks for the info. I hadn’t seen the movie, but I laughed anyway. I guess that I’ll have to rent the movie now. ;)

Here’s a link to at least part of the skit. I believe it is either longer here, or there was another version that was longer later in the movie. I don’t remember real clear it’s been so long.

Some of the terminology is a bit racy, but not completely over the top. I wanted to warn before you view it, just to make sure you’re comfortable with it before clicking. It’s about a minute thirty in length.

Leftists ALWAYS claim they are being attacked whenever someone confronts them with their own words or actions. Nothing is more revealing of the left.
