Climate Change Scientists Admit Dumping Data

Scientists at the University of East Anglia have admitted throwing away much of the raw temperature data on which their predictions of global warming are based.

It means that other academics are not able to check basic calculations said to show a long-term rise in temperature over the past 150 years.

The UEA’s Climatic Research Unit CRU was forced to reveal the loss following requests for the data under Freedom of Information legislation.

The data were gathered from weather stations around the world and then adjusted to take account of variables in the way they were collected. The revised figures were kept, but the originals — stored on paper and magnetic tape — were dumped to save space when the CRU moved to a new building.

This could have been put on a flash drive, if space was actually a concern. Or sent of to a U-Store facility. If the data was destroyed, it was done to hide their cheating. We can't let the left get away with spin on this one.

Most of the American media has deliberately and consciously chosen to hide the truth, but there are at least two newspapers that tell the truth - the Wall Street Journal and the New York Post. The WSJ can be obtained throughout the country. The best thing we can do now is subscribe to the WSJ and dump local rags.

Not quite, but they have 1TB external drives that would probably do the job quite nicely. But on a serious note they are grasping and it is becoming obvious. They just keep throwing out excuses in hopes that the press will find a new story and forget about it. Normally that would work, but with Copenhagen going on right now there is no way the right wing blogs are going to loose interest. Too much at stake to let them get away with it this time.
