On Saturday's Huckabee show on FNC, host Mike Huckabee interviewed gameshow host Chuck Woolery, who admitted to being conservative and voiced support for term limits, the Constitution, and tea party protesters. As the segment started, Woolery -- who famously hosted the shows Love Connection, Scrabble, and even the first several years of Wheel of Fortune -- joked: "I'm now sacrificing my career coming out as a conservative. So I'll never be hired in Hollywood again once they find out I'm doing it on your show."
When Huckabee brought up the tea party protests, Woolery spoke approvingly: "It's a grassroots movement, and I think it has legs. I can only pray as a citizen myself that this gains momentum, and people really start to turn on their government."
can actually remember that Rush Limbaugh's television show in the 1990s once played a clip from Scrabble in which host Woolery admitted to liking Limbaugh after the word "Limbaugh" was revealed as the answer to a word puzzle in which the clue was: "He's been blamed for a lot of bad rush (Rush) hours." Woolery joked that the puzzle was made up by a "pinko commie," and declared, "I like Rush Limbaugh."

I saw it and Chuck was good. He said we need to make elected officials very afraid of the voters.
I saw the show, also had on a guest who I haven’t seen since the Summer of 1965. He was Dr. Jerry Davis, the president of a college, I am not sure but I think it was “College of the Ozarks”. His college has all their students work to pay for their education.
I remember him as a fine Christian and he didn’t disappoint.
Tight term limits are good.
We do not need ‘professional’ politicians.
I knew there was a reason I always liked Chuck
Even when I turned on TV and saw my ex-gf as a contestant.
Yeah - I’d vote for him.
I found Davis interesting & more importantly - the young lady wasn’t the typical angry liberal student we find here in Boston - she seemed sweet & happy, had a sense of humor.
“Born Again Conservative”
Where were all these “Hollywood Conservatives” when we really needed them to take a stand?
Go Chuck. Glad to hear this.
Yeah, but Chuck made sure she didn’t win didn’t he? ;-)
Ah, did she win...
That’s a fair question.
College of the Ozarks, Hard Work U.
* Don’t Pay Tuition
* Work for An Education
* Graduate Without Debt
* Learn Character
The mission of this unique institution focuses on providing a Christian education to those who are found worthy, but who are without sufficient means to obtain such training.
Woolery joked that the puzzle was made up by a "pinko commie," and declared, "I like Rush Limbaugh."
Pinko Commie, I luv it.
Poor Chuck. His career will be over in two minutes and two seconds.
I worked at Ridgecrest Baptist Assembly with Jerry Davis. We had a huge Summer staff back then, I think around 450. Also if I recall, he was staff president. He also was quarterback of our staff flag football team.
I can still remember him playing with a brace on his knew, probably injured during high school football but don’t know.
Anyway “College of the Ozarks” does sound like it is turning out fine Christian citizens who know what it is to work.
I also think it is interesting that Pat Sajak who replaced Woolery is also a conservative, I mean a real one not a Hollywood conservative.
The bad dates on “Love Connection” were all comedy gold, and Chuck mined them perfectly. The antagonism didn’t seem scripted either.
Give Chuck a job on fox, we will bring his ratings thru the roof, you go Chuck we got your back!
