While hand-wringing continues in the White House and among Secret Service officials over an alleged gate-crashing of a state dinner, it appears Michaele and Tareq Salahi had met with Barack Obama previously when he served as a U.S. senator.
Yet, a June 2005 photo from Polo Contacts Worldwide shows the Salahis with Obama at a pre-event to America's Polo Cup. Others in the photo include American Idol's Randy Jackson and members of the rock group Black Eyed Peas.
Salahi is a former board member of the American Task Force on Palestine.

So now we know how Tareq Salahi got in, told security and White House staff he was a FOI, friend of islam, Obamah’s mulsim friend, Hammas supporter.
For some reason this doesn’t give me a warm and fuzzy feeling deep inside.
What a thoroughly wonderful group of people. Modest, thoughtful, and honest. Aren’t we lucky to have such stellar “citizens” represent American values?

Oh come on! Enough of this garbage. It is becoming obvious that this couple had to have had high clearance to get into the White House around the Secret Service. Therefore, someone who is not very well liked in the Secret Service was set up for the fall. That is ALL that this story is about — watch the long run on this one and you’ll find that to be true. With so many people VERY unhappy with Obama, security is EXTREMELY tight. All of this is a means to tank a high level, very much unliked, Secret Service official or officials. Merely political.

Does it also mean Obama let them in and then didn’t come clean about it when they were “outed”?
Please send this to Beck, Hannity, Levin, Savage and the rest of the talk show hosts so these lies can be exposed to the American people. Everything surrounding this disgrace in the WH are lies. I’m emailing this link to my entire address list and asking them to pass it on.

That's an interesting take on it. They clearly had to have clearance to get in, particularly since they had a cameraman with them. (I don't know if he got in, too, but somebody took those pictures of them...)
I was just thinking that the Obamas were embarrassed by the fact that this came out on the couple's Facebook page and were shoving the blame off on a flunkey, but you could be right. There might be more to it than that.
I think that the best assessment I've seen. I smell a giant rat - probably from Chicago, no less.
