If I may, Your Honor, I'll take the $100 fine. Not a bad cover charge for such a grand party!

That’s what I thought when I read that part, yes. I dont think you can ask for $100 vs. 6 months in jail. I think if they were guilty of something and were dishonest in any way in getting in there, they are for all intents and purposes in my mind “illegal aliens on White House soil” who did not go through the property border crossing procedures. Why should they be given “amnesty?” They should be made an example of if they did something wrong.

Then it goes over the limit, way over the limit IMO, if and when the White House administrative management make the Secret Service, a hard working group of men and women who are professionals designated to do a job, out as villians and scapegoats. If anything, both the People of the United States and the People of India are owed a full acccounting.

You know, m77, somewhere somebody screwed up or did wrong. Either the Obama Administration (and it could be senior people: serious), or that couple (serious), or the Secret Service (serious).

Your's was the best response so far I thought, but knowing this Administration's immoral record of blaming others and throwing them under the bus to save their own skins--and also failing to own up to the full story when diplomatic faux pas are made--such as in the Tokyo bow which is still left unexplained--I think it is also highly important we ascertain that if the Secret Service is faultless, then who is setting them up for blame, and had called down to vouch for that couple to let them in onto the White House grounds?

We don't have all the facts, granted. But I doth smell a rat. And when it comes to the Obama Administration and the way they have been shown to treat people as well as the incumbent power itself of the White House, with bad manners, immature disdain and disrepect, that is where I smell the rat the most. Somebody is hiding something very embarrassing I sense. That is why I made a big deal out of it by researching and posting this thread.

Wouldnt be surprised if bama invited them and didnt put them on the list just to make the Secret Service look bad.

Somebody could have screwed up, and just said to themselves with nary a fart nor care, “well, to save my skin and my $75,000 job here, I’ll just blame this on the USSS. Case closed.” Plausible. Considering who and what we are dealing with in that White House. Yes, I want to check out this angle, too.

.” What is wrong with this White House?”

Uh, Has anyone looked up how much money this couple has donated to obamian causes? Maybe that’s it.

Thanks for your response to my points. Although we agree the SS is not infallable, they are far more likely to be honest than anyone in this administration. They can make mistakes as all humans can but they know far too well what the importance of honsty and truth mean to their job and life.

So now, someone needs to be truthfully outed and the only way is to take the investigation away from the WH and place it in the hands of the people in a public arena. One result from such an investigation will be, not all, but virtually everyone in the WH will all of a sudden start to think in terms of consequences. It is those terms which are usually at the root of the assumption of character which is in a serious deficit (no pun intended) in our government as a whole.

So true. I hate thinking that my country would be like that, but I dont see any way that our leaders arent all about saving their skin.

Even the Watergate burglars were arrested under this same D.C. Code § 22-3102.

Seems there is a big difference between a "break-in" and permitting someone to enter your home when they knock on your door.

No, you probably can't. But, when was this written? In what alternate universe does 100 of today's dollars equate to anything like an equivalent punishment of six months in the pokey?

This is what Representative Peter King (R) is apparantly getting at. He is for an independent investigation and a Congressional hearing on it for an explanation. I sense he and his staff smell a pretty big rat, too. Their instincts are right.

1967, apparantly. Back in the old days of (Mayor) Walter Washington.

Furthermore, once they got in, the host warmly greeted them. Sure doesn’t look like illegal entry to me. Seems to me unwanted visitors would have been given the boot by the host.

For some desperate people on thier last dime, putting $100 fine against six months of three squares a day, shower, toothpaste, and free rent, I guess it could be a no brainer. Particularly with DC heading into the cold months and those steam grates for all-nighters are not what they are all hyped up to be.

I woke up this morning thinking about this. I believe this is another ‘balloon boy’ story diversion. A set up to distract the masses from what is happening next week with healthcare reform and Obama’s grandstanding at West Point.

Why are they waiting/delaying pressing charges? Are we to believe that Kommissars Holder and Napolitano would give these two a pass? I think they will either announce charges against them early next week to run cover for the REAL news or they will drag the story out to like they did Michael Jackson's and Balloon boy's.

I wouldn't put it past Obama and Co. that it was all purposely staged for a specific reason. Cmon! These people are pitching for a reality show and they show up for a pic with Joe Biden and Rahm Emanuel? Too much to believe.

They don't fool ME then, as I can multitask. When it comes to an aggregate of issues all hitting the fan at the same time.

Look. Honduras's election is TOMORROW and the center-right party is liable to win and put an end to the Zelaya Communist takeover attempt once and for all.

It will be a very busy week, news-wise.

Don’t know for sure, but I will go with the wild assumption that there party-crashers are Christian; to make a wilder point that it’s good that the crashers were Christian and not members of the Religion Of Peace. Otherwise, the results could have been tragic.

The Hollywood connection is very likely. You don't walk in to these affairs. The drive-through gate on Executive Avenue requires a vehicle pass and ID check on the driver only. Being passengers only, they could easily get on the grounds of the WH.

From there, you walk through a metal detector at the W kiosk and only then do they run ID's. The guest list is always in flux, plans change for attendees so there are a lot of add-ons, hand writes on the list.

There is always a staffer that clears the NOTL's. The SS can only do what they are told.
