Feds Charge Former Doctor After Bomb Explodes In Home

Federal authorities have charged a former doctor accused of setting off a homemade bomb.

NewsChannel5 news partners at the Akron Beacon Journal reported that 56-year-old Mark Campano was charged with unlawful possession of an explosive device.

Cuyahoga Falls police searched Campano's Center Avenue apartment on Monday after a bomb exploded there.

Crews took Campano to the hospital for a serious hand injury.

Police said they found more than 30 bombs in the apartment.

Without a doubt, there is a better descriptive term than “former doctor” that could have been included in the headline.

My reasoning is that very few “former doctors” make bombs, while plenty of ( you fill in the blank ) do.

If a pipe bomb went off on in this guy's hand, don't you think he'd have more than a “serious hand injury”?

You get a “serious hand injury” if an M-80 goes off in your hand.

If a pipe bomb goes off in your hand I'd think you be suffering from “traumatic amputation and extensive shrapnel and burn injuries.”
