Leesburg, Virginia: Looks like the traditional Loudoun County Courthouse Christmas displays will be absent this year.
For almost 50 years the Rotary Club of Leesburg has placed a Christmas tree on the courthouse grounds, Leesburg Today reported. For 20 years, Dennis and Debbie Welch has set up the courthouse nativity scene.
But a new policy from the Facilities and Grounds Committee of the Loudoun County Courthouse prohibits any displays, according to Leesburg Today.
Phil Rusciolelli has spearheaded the Rotary Club's Christmas tree initiative the past five years.

gee. i wonder what would happen if people said, “no lightee, no shoppee.”
Didn’t these people get the memo from his highness Obambi? This is not a christian nation...

They ought to stock up on hundreds of little mini trees and put a few up every night.
Any that “they” take down, replace and add a few more.
Eff playing nice.
Just remember to remind the elected municipal and county officials who actually “owns” the county land, especially next election cycle.
Put mini tress on their desks and wear Christmas tree pins.
But...but we thought liberals and leftists love green trees.
I’m sooooo confused..... isn’t cultural diversity wonderful?
Ah, its that time of year agin, the old traditional banning of the christmas decorations.
That was my first thought. This decision can be traced back to one person. It’s time to identify the person and get the policy reversed.
From chesterfield a couple years back: "A local Wiccan priestess asked Chesterfield County, VA to add her to a list of religious leaders to give an invocation before county meetings. She was rejected, and launched a lawsuit:"
These people are just mind-numbingly stupid. People’s comments on the web sites that have published this story say they will spend their Christmas money elsewhere because of this decision.
Great going Loudon County - during the worst economic recession in the past 60 years - lets just piss Christmas consumers off totally. But hey, its okay, because they’re just Christians - nothing to fear from them! Turn the other cheek my @$$.
typo: agin = again
Here’s a cost effective method.....cut out old cardboard into the form of trees. Paint them green (or whatever) and stake them to the Courthouse lawn en masse. The Rodents will get the message. Hopefully a project the local TEA Party can do....
But about a block away from the courthouse is a building known as the USX Tower. They have a really nice creche you can visit. Some putz actually did try to have the creche banned. Fortunately, a judge threw out the case since the building is private property.
For a lot of years, Christmas was known here as Sparkle Season. Then at one point it was changed to “Holiday with a Twist.” Twist of what? Lemon, lime? I have no idea.
Trouble is, if you defy these jerks, you run the risk of litigation. Here, where the city is always low on money, we could all go bankrupt.
Political correctness. (Unladylike spit)
Every Tea Party American, rally participant or in spirit, needs to paint and post signs on their home lawns, doors, windows - and creches on their church lawns - (there's only ONE court/city Hall per town - there are MANY churches.)
Just plaster this country with “MERRY CHRISTMAS” - “Happy HOLY Holidays” and the like.
We've got a hellava lot more churches and homes than city halls and court houses...Let's irritate the he*l out of them. Why are we even counting on the city fathers to get out the message of what's Dec 25th means?
Go on, now - get your signs and lights made.
Get sweat shirts and paint “MERRY CHRISTMAS” on one side and “Happy HOLY Holidays” on the other.
The front of mine is going to say MERRY CHRISTMAS - Offended? - Eat Cake.
On the back: “Tis the Season for PC to die”
Time for a ‘Green Tree Party’-— on the Courthouse Lawn.
Go get ‘em Leesburg patriots.....
Washington State Capitol will not allow any religious symbols at the capitol. Athiests won again.
So, let me make sure I understand this - we have a Christmas Tree and Hanukkah Menorah just south of the White House on the Ellipse (which is, I believe, part of the National Mall, or at least the Park Service oversees it), but we can’t do the same in Loudon County.
