Apparently there are still some posters on FR who are fast asleep. Wake up! Dammit! We are in the middle of a conservative rebellion! While you were sleeping we, along with millions of other freedom loving grassroots Americans have participated in hundreds of tea parties all across this great land and fully intend to keep it up until all of America is awake. We are fed up and mad as hell! We grassroots Americans are delivering a message to the ruling class: NO MORE!!
No more big government! No more high taxes! No more government bailouts! No more government takeovers! No government healthcare! No more corruption! No more global baloneyism!!
We're sick and tired of liberals and RINOs running roughshod over our God given Liberty!
We want our country back! We want our freedom back! We want it all back!!
No more socialism!!
Cut the taxes! Cut the spending! Cut the government!
Restore the constitutional limits on government! Restore our freedom!!
And not only no, but HELL NO to liberals and RINOS!!
Free Republic will not support RINOS!! Rudy McRomney, et al, can go straight to hell!!

Nothng can be added. Very well written (along with many others)..and it’s time to stop defending ourselves against those who stil claim to be members of the GOP, and start focusing on the next step. Choosing the next conservative non-compromising candidate.
Well, you’ve discerned what brand I smoked, when I smoked, I’ll give you that much. How useful that information is going to be, well, I don’t know.
Then I suggest you re-evaluate your stance on party politics. Much of what you’ve come to believe about majority dominance, and GOP conservatism vs. Democrat liberalism went by the wayside long ago. Over the years both parties have drifted to the left, becoming close approximations of one another. A lot of this has had to do with our country veering to the left as well.
But the election of Obama, and what has transpired since, has caused a seismic shift in the way people see politics today. They thought they were electing a nice Black guy, showing we aren’t the racists the left accuses us of being. His socialist ideas, the major addition to our national debt, the takeover of industries, the nationalization of our healthcare, all these things have caused average Americans to wake up.
They wanted change, but not this change. 2010/2012 will again be about change. But mark my words, those who have been a part of this (and I’m including any Republicans who have shown a propensity to go along) will be red meat. Party politics will be one of the victims these next couple years. The only way the GOP (or the Democrats for that matter) will survive is if they take hold of the opportunities that are there, and go with the movement. So far they have no clue. But simply voting (R) because it is an (R) is not the answer.
I know I’ve been tough on you. You personally didn’t cause my raving, but were the unfortunate recipient. For that you can thank your cohorts Cedric and Conservativegreatgrandma who have taken every opportunity to belittle us, chide us, treat us condescendingly and make fun of us. I can take so much before I get even. You were in the way.
This is not an apology. I don’t apologize for saying what I believe. It’s merely an explanation. But if you continue to use a conservative forum that has publicly stated NO to RINOs, to espouse more of the same, this is a taste of what you can expect.

My question to them was and still IS....why the hell aren’t you blaming the NRCC/RNC? Why JUST the vitriol targeting and blaming Newt?
Hannity asked Newt about the Dede fiasco. His answer was that he didn’t pick her. His job was to support whomever WAS picked/chosen, which he did. And yet, everyone’s blaming Newt but NOT the idiot GOPers that picked her and handed her almost $1 million of Republican donations in the process.
I just want to know WHY nobody’s blaming the guilty. Those that picked her.
Others are being blamed. Newt is just one of them. And he chose party loyalty over substance. I disagree with that. Look what it got us.
Well, I held my nose and voted McCain (a RINO)....and so did a helluva lot of Freepers here. But in reality, I was merely voting against Zero and voting for Palin. McCain was just irrelevantly in the way.

I personally don't use the term "rino" so I purposefully laid out each candidate that I'm currently looking at with my order of preference. I left it for Jim to decide where that left me, and since I'm still here, I guess I'm not the devil to be banned at this point.

A real conservative doesn’t (a) believe crap like GW and (b) doesn’t kiss ass with Pelousie if he doesn’t believe in crap like GW.
It wasn’t a small thing. He’s too much addicted to the “other” side “liking” him.
If conservatives want leftists to “like” them, they immediately lose whatever principles they hold, bit by bit. If you want those who push, promote and believe Evil to like you, you’ve immediately accepted the position of groveling appeaser.
Courage of convictions is what is sorely needed. And people who have NO NEED to have leftists “like” them. What we want is for leftists to FEAR us.
I don’t trust politicians in general. All I’ve been saying is that there is a place to damn the torpedoes and that’s in the primary. When it gets to a general election, I’m voting for the R in the field. That’s just the way it is.
I’ve enjoyed reading all of your posts too. They state what I’ve been feeling for a long time. I was so mad after the election I turned off the computer, the tv and did other things to just recover. I couldn’t believe it..after all the information about wright, ayers (the bomber), mortgage buddies and everything else, he still got elected. (with the help of fraud of course).... and then for the GOP to just ignore what the base wants, that’s just out of line and over the top. When Rick Santelli called for tea party....the spark was ignited. I DON’T want to believe the work and demands of hundreds of thousands of tea partiers voters will go unrecognized. Not all of the tea party supporters even participated. They called their reps, or sat back and shook their heads in agreement. We want change, and I see the GOP doing NOTHING, NOTHING to do anything to even give us a hint of hope for change. They don’t care.
That’s two of us. The RATS must be stopped.
We have, and roundly so. There are threads full of anger at those who were responsible for scozzafava. But this thread isn’t really about newt OR scozzafava, per se. It is about the RINO philosophy which has betrayed the Conservative principles they falsely lay claim to.
