Apparently there are still some posters on FR who are fast asleep. Wake up! Dammit! We are in the middle of a conservative rebellion! While you were sleeping we, along with millions of other freedom loving grassroots Americans have participated in hundreds of tea parties all across this great land and fully intend to keep it up until all of America is awake. We are fed up and mad as hell! We grassroots Americans are delivering a message to the ruling class: NO MORE!!
No more big government! No more high taxes! No more government bailouts! No more government takeovers! No government healthcare! No more corruption! No more global baloneyism!!
We're sick and tired of liberals and RINOs running roughshod over our God given Liberty!
We want our country back! We want our freedom back! We want it all back!!
No more socialism!!
Cut the taxes! Cut the spending! Cut the government!
Restore the constitutional limits on government! Restore our freedom!!
And not only no, but HELL NO to liberals and RINOS!!
Free Republic will not support RINOS!! Rudy McRomney, et al, can go straight to hell!!
The strategy is we win, they lose.
Any questions?
LOL!
LOL. Gotcha - you don’t even know who I am - how do you know Tiger doesn’t know me?
One can say anything on here, Tiger and I could be quite close...
When I got to the scratching private parts I had to quit. LOL WOW
Yeah, someone displaying pathological behavior and constantly mentioning private body parts on top of that. WOW doesn't even cover that...
An awful lot of CINO backers here who seem to think the only way to win is “big tent” “compromise” and “pragmatism,” despite the electoral disasters of 2006 and 2008. (I use CINO - conservative in name only - instead of RINO because the GOP is now largely CINO, so RINO is a misnomer.)
Been there, tried that, got us Obama, Reid, Pelosi, et al in charge, and along with it cap and trade, obamacare, devalued money, skyrocketing unemployment and debt, etc.
We want the GOP to purge the useless CINOs and believe it will make them stronger, not weaker. I propose the same thing for Free Republic. We won’t convince the CINO crowd and they weaken the community.
Mr. Robinson, it’s your site and your rules, but I see an opportunity to lead by example: How about zotting the CINO backers, the whole lot of ‘em?
The community will be smaller at first, but if we are right, we will quickly grow stronger and larger. If we don’t, then maybe we are wrong and the larger lesson is that we have to work with the CINOs, compromise, be “pragmatic,” etc. in the larger fight, too.
That said, I seriously doubt that we’re wrong.

Lots of organizations, groups, politicians, etc, are trying to take credit for knocking out the RINO in this race, but the real credit goes to the millions of grassroots conservatives all across this great land who have loudly declared they are fed up and are not going to take it anymore!!
The grassroots conservative Tea Party Rebellion wins a big one!!
Congratulations to everyone in the movement!!
Keep making those calls, writing those letters, attending those Tea Parties and loudly voicing your desire for constitutionally limited government and FREEDOM!!
We CAN change it back!!
When the people fear the government, we have tyranny. When the government fears the people, we have LIBERTY!!
DONT TREAD ON ME!!
Rebellion is brewing!!
Keep your powder dry.
That is the first time I have ever seen anyone recommend se Texas...esp over the Hill Country. God’s country. A myriad of reasons I have to not recomment the SE Texas area. Why do you say that please?
I’m here to enforce the foundational Free Republic principles of truth, accuracy and, above all, integrity!
Sorry for the double post - BlackBerry said the first one failed. Sigh.

The bad news is that a lot of conservatives arent happy about the pro-bailout, pro-amnesty Republican, but feel they have to hold their nose and vote for him. Ugh. I thought those days were over.
I directed the above cited, rhetorical question to you because you deigned to condescendingly deride the ineptitude of the GOP leadership regarding a field of endeavor in which I suspected you had no personal, first hand experience.
Neither does the current GOP leadership. You did include the word successful.
NO RINOs!
I am convinced that, in a three-way race between a 3rd-party patriot, a RINO and the Kenyan Usurper, the PATRIOT would win, the Kenyan would come in second and the RINO would end up in third place.
You mean, just as Conservativegreatgrandma did in this post as well as others yesterday?

You cannot find one place where I advocated voting for Scozzy so please listen to me carefully--AGAIN.
I NEVER said ANYONE should have voted for her--EVER!!
Are you paying attention? NEVER!!!!
I have REPEATEDLY said this situation was so extreme that there are no lessons to be learned here because the likelihood of it being repeated are remote.
I have many times said (are you listening?) that those responsible for this debacle are the grassroots Republicans in the district who voted for the 11 county chairs who chose Scozzy.
The woman was a disaster The whole chain of events was totally weird with NO lessons to be learned from it.
Now do you understand? Again, I NEVER SAID TO VOTE FOR SCOZZY OR THAT I WOULD HAVE!!! GOT IT??
Now, are you man enough to apologize?

Rather unhelpful to Conservativegreatgrandma's efforts, I'd say...
The irony of NY23 is that the GOP ran the insider “pragmatic” RINO choice, in keeping with the apparent philosophy of Mr. “I’ve Run National Campaigns” and othe CINOs up thread. That’s why the donk won (or maybe not - still may be contested). If the GOP would have run the “small tent” “too conservative” Hoffman (who sadly does have the personal charisma of a door knob, sorry, but it’s true) as we are advocating, the GOP would have won. Easily.
The CINO “big tent” types just don’t see that. This same scenario has been played out again and again and again, but they are blind to it. It’s cognitive dissonance of the type so prevalent on the left. That makes sense since GOP CINOs are just weak statists vs donk strong ones, and a statist mindset requires a healthy does of cognitive dissonance (or complete power-mad narcissism with the expectation of absolute power through the state).
Compromise for leftists means conservatives give up on core principles and leftists gain some of their agenda.
Compromise for conservatives means conservatives give up on core principles and leftists gain some of their agenda.
That’s the beginning, middle and end of “compromise”.
The deal is this: Lefist beliefs, goals, principles (sic), tactics and every piece of their agenda is Evil with a capital E. They cheat, lie, steal, kill and do anything they can do to reach their goal, which is, in short, utter ruin of everything good and worthy.
Compromise to them means taking three steps forward and one back.
Compromise for conservatives means being pushed closer and closer to the edge of the cliff. It is death slowly instead of all at once.
I am SICK AND TIRED of the RNC, the GOP, and almost every Republican in office at this point. And I’ve voted for the lesser of two evils for too many g.d. years. Where did this get us? McCain who is insane and threw the election.
Better than anyone else I have seen suggested so far.
When I first joined Free Republic, I had a one month old baby. I spent most of the first eight months on the state message board making the some of the same arguments I’ve seen here from what I believed was a Conservative point of view.
We HAD to vote for mcsnipe to stay alive to fight another day. I fought that battle and actually believed it, until, after a few months of mcsnipe posturing, his humiliation of the radio host who used bam’s middle name, his absolute refusal to even try to mount a robust campaign, and finally his kiss on the cheek to bill clinton on his way to pass the tarp package, and I knew we had been set up for the ultimate betrayal.
I could never again, in good conscience, ask anyone I knew to vote for him. I could never again defend GW Bush for campaigning for Specter over Toomey because it was “best” for the party to keep a sure r.
I could not, in good conscience, defend party politics as usual at all. And I will never, ever do it again.
There were a lot of people on my state message board who were on my side then. Some of them wanted to take it off the state board and onto the forum. I had all the “right” arguments. I was an overnight hero. EXCEPT, I was DEAD WRONG!!!
There was a poster there who was saying then what I am saying now, what most of us on this thread are saying now. I fought him tooth and nail. I went back on the state board and apologized to him. He was right. I was wrong.
It can’t be politics as usual. There is too much at stake.
Those who refuse to learn the lessons of this past election, whether it’s party loyalty, or belief that anything is “better” than what we have now, are missing the forest for the trees. That attitude is why we are at this crossroads now. That attitude is what has brought us defeat after defeat, yet they persist.
I do not desire to see my almost two year old pay for these obvious mistakes in judgement by some who choose to go along to get along, taking cookie crumbs from the political table and calling it a win. She doesn’t deserve that. She will have the whole cookie,or I will breathe my last breath trying to make sure she does.
