Uninvited guests crash White House dinner: report

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Secret Service is investigating how an uninvited couple was admitted to U.S. President Barack Obama's White House state dinner, penetrating layers of security and mingling with VIP guests.

The couple from northern Virginia was not invited to the dinner, not included on the official guest list, and were never seated at a table in the South Lawn tent where the dinner for Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was held, The Washington Post reported, citing a White House official it did not identify.

A Secret Service spokesman told the Post that no one was under any risk or threat and that the agency was looking into a report that uninvited guests were admitted to the White House.

The couple, aspiring reality-TV stars and socialites Tareq and Michaele Salahi, were seen arriving at the White House and later posted on Facebook what appears to be photos of themselves at the gathering on Tuesday night, the report said.

Yes, you are p reachingto the chour. I am not impugning their weaponry or plannig. I decry their brandishing weapons at civilions on crowded streets as a political tool to discourage free speech.

I don’t know about you but if an SS deatail put me under the gun, that would be the last time I would stand on a street as a protestor, or just an observer, when the president was in town.

One shot fired by anyone, or a firecracker, could set off a massacre.

This SS conduct reflects the disregard that Obama has for citizens right of free speech, reflected in his servants.

Tareq and Michaele Salahi

Political correctness demands that people with names like that can breech security any time they want to.

It's Obama's world.

I had two kind of funny experiences regarding being places you shouldn’t be...

A few years back my wife and I went to a casino in Connecticut, and we were trying to find a phone book, so we ask a guy who worked there, and he said, yeah, go through those doors...etc. So we went down corridors, through doors, and I thought man, they sure have a lot of trash here, as guys in coveralls wheeled big wheeled tarp covered bins by us. As we stopped to get our bearings, a guy in a suit walks over and says, “What are you folks doing here?” We explained, and he crooked a finger and took us with him into an office (where I was able to get a phone book) and after I made my call someone escorted us out. We had apparently wandered into the bowels of the casino, and they were wheeling bins of money by us.

The other time, the USS JFK came into Boston, and having served on her, thought I would get in line to go aboard. The line was something like a mile long. So, having been a Navy brat who spent his youth trying to get sailors to take me on their ship, I figured I would just walk down to the pier, explain how I had served on the ship, and the guy would take me aboard for a quick tour. There was probably a half dozen State Police checkpoints set up with sawhorses and so on, and I just walked through one right after another. I found myself somehow in a large chain linked lot right next to the ship looking up at her. I then realized nobody else was around, and it occurred to me that I shouldn’t be where I was.

I think in both cases, I (and my wife) had simply walked with such rapt lack of guile and with a total sense of doing what we should have been doing, that nobody asked any questions. When I went on the ship, I think it might have been my haircut...:)

"Everyone who enters the White House grounds goes through magnetometers and several other levels of screenings," said Ed Donovan, a spokesman for the Secret Service. "That was the case with the state dinner last night. No one was under any risk or threat."
Hmmm, several layers of screenings, and no one asked to see their invitation?
Donovan said the Secret Service is "looking into a report that individuals not on the guest list were admitted to the event." That would be illegal, according a law enforcement source, a potential trespassing charge - unless someone from inside the White House staff slipped them in.
Interesting that they got up next to Biden and the White House Hitmam, Rahm Emamuel.

Like the Clinton administration, security is what ever they want it to be.

Yep. A very soft underbelly. As they could prove (or test as the case might be) with Major Hasan and multiple times he could have been stopped, including and up to getting just feet away from the Israeli Ambassador to the USA. Political correctness tells your mind to "shut up!", when another, more naturally suspicious voice in your mind says "hey, that guy looks like a Muslim, and seems out of place and odd, I wonder what he is doing here. I think I will chat him up and see what the story is on him."

I also found this on Tareq Salahi (father is Palestian, mother is Belgian) in terms of political contributions. Seems like his a BIG Democratic contributor, but also has played the other side of the street, with about a 80/20 split in his contributions in Virginia over the years:

Campaign Contribution(s) Totaling $35,123 Campaign Contributions Committee $18,308 Moran for Delegate - Brian $6,315 Katzen for Lt Governor - Jay $5,500 Kaine for Governor - Tim $2,500 Del Toro for Delegate - Carlos $1,500 Deeds for Attorney General - Creigh $1,000 One Virginia PAC

Incompetence everywhere with this bunch

What if the Secret Service let this happen? I mean, like..."Hey, Asshat, we're watching your six.....maybe.....maybe not...."

Are you listening, Mr. Muzzie?
