Jimma should know all about Iran. He was the architec that sent helicopters into a dry desert to kick up a sand storm in the middle of our troops invading the US embassy in Tehran.
A total military failure.
After a year on Carter's watch, it took Regan 24 hours in office and the embassy personnel were free.

Americans held hostage in Iran, gas lines, interest rates over 15%, a laughing stock in foreign policy (his response to the Russkie invasion of Afghanistan was to not play in the olympics) and on and on.
