A full read would have been so much better than the “10 hour filibuster”.

Please correct me if I am wrong about the Repubs having had the option for a full bill read (all two linear feet of it).

Seems the problem Conservatives have is a case of weak friends (Repubs) and strong enemies (the New Socialist Fascist Party...aka the “Dems”).

So who is mainly at fault here - Mitch McConnel, someone else or a combination thereof?

What a bunch of losers. So their Thanksgiving dinner was really more important than reading the bill? What an impact it would have made if they would have all stayed over the holiday to read the bill.

The Republican party wonders why conservatives are so disappointed with it?

Is that anything like Jabba the Hut wondering why he's not on the cover of Weight Watchers' magazine?

The Republican party wants to be a part of the system along with the traitorous democrats...that is the problem. Burn it all down and rebuild an American party!

Michael Steele makes noises as if he is conservative

I must have missed that. He's been in Full RINO Mode ever since he was appointed to the job.

Optimistic GOP Governors Want a Kinder, Gentler Approach to 2010

"AUSTIN – Here's what I did not hear at the annual confab of Republican governors held here this week: The words socialist, extremist, or government takeover. With the focus on jobs, jobs and jobs, the only red meat was the Texas barbecue. And by design, there was no Obama-bashing.
[snip]
"Barbour cautioned Republican candidates to refrain from attacking the president, period: 'People want the president to succeed; good Lord, they want the country to succeed, and particularly the first African-American president has a lot of goodwill. . . . We need to be careful, we need to treat the president respectfully, we need to make this about policies, not personal. . . . This is a guy people like.'"

The GOP has already been infiltrated by the left same way they infiltrated the democratic party. They are playing good cop and bad cop. This game has been afoot for a long time. We have been taken for a ride..

I posted this on another thread but bears repeating here as well.

Once you give a quarter to marxists they will eat you alive. We are being played for fools by the leftist cabal that runs washington. They will pass this, they have too much invested and they know that even if they lose in 2010 the reapportionment after the 2012 census will give them permanent power once they discover millions on uncounted people all in blue states. That will also give them the electoral college permanently as well. Elections will be a mere formality because they will win every single one from now until doomsday...

You can lay every chunk of our liberties the socio-RATS are whoring out to ACORN/SEIU at the doorstep of the Refubli-pucks who squandered 8 years of majority power. The Bush years of RINO shenanigans brought America to this.

The question isn’t why the GOP takes conservatives for granted, but why the GOP gives a sh*t what conservatives think at all. They couldn’t stop McCain from winning the primaries in 2008 despite deep hatred by Rush, Hannity, Levin, and Weiner...the conservative intellectual leadership, by default since the conservatives can’t win state wide seats. They couldn’t elect Palin, or stop the most liberal rat in modern history, ObaMao. In 2006 consevatives shot their wad on illegal immigration and lost Pambo, Hoestedler, Santorum, and Hayworth. In 2009 they showed rats how to elect a liberal in a historicly GOP NY-23 district. In 2 out of 2 Congressional seats up, the conservatives decided to give Pelosi and Osama more power. Who gives a flying F**k what conservatives think They can’t even elect RINOs in a historically GOP congressional seat. They are only a danger to themselves.

The Republican Party is more interested in rolling over for the Democrats than it is in standing up and fighting for our country. Such a party deserves to go the way of the Whigs.

If the Republicans had forced a reading of the bill, the media would have had a field day with the stunt. It would have been as self-destructive as the 1995 government shutdown. When the MSM own 80% of the population against talk radio’s 20%, you have no chance of a media coup unless the media does it to itself, e.g. Rathergate.

The Republicans decided that they wanted to go home for the Thanksgiving recess of the Senate more than they wanted to fulfill their obligations to those who elected them to serve in the Senate.

The politicians think their “private club” will protect them.

This GUTLESS leadership should cause the minority leader to resign TODAY.
