Posted on 11/22/2009 6:20:18 AM PST by AmericanInTokyo

Sitting here in Singapore as President Obama went through China and flew home from his 8-day trip to Asia, it is perhaps easier to see the true truth of his trip—it’s deep failure....

Boys in Beijing losing confidence in shoring up Chinese economy?

Anyway, upon hearing this, DPP may riot in Taiwan.

But but but but, he did get to walk on the Wall.

All alone by himself. Isn’t that just wonderful.

Is Obama evil or stupid? He hates and disdains everything American. Got it!
But as President of the World, wouldn’t you think he’d bust his behind to behave Worldly on these trips?
I know, “It’s all about “O”, but all this is really weird.
He doesn’t have friends. He has czars.
He travels alone, stands alone. He uses his family as props.
He is really odd, beyond trite explanations.

I think this is the first edition of Business Week owned by Bloomberg. The bias of Business Week up until last week was pro-Obama and pro-new business taxes. A lot of the old left-biased Business Week reporters didn’t make the cut.

This is sad, very sad. I've blogged and written about this countless times over the years.

Start reading here --

Osama Bin Laden's Useful Idiots

The fallout of Obama's visit is hitting heavy now in diplomatic circles here in SE Asia.

Expect to hear a lot more in the next few weeks and months ahead but lets say that Singapore was not impressed with America's first affirmative action president.

In some circles over here, Bush might not have been liked, but he was respected. Obama wants desperately to be liked and he has failed even at that.

If you want to come to Asia and find a few kindred spirits to share your admiration for Michael Moore's faux brand of patriotism, you will. Your hosts will smile and listen to you rant on about your hatred of Bush. That's the really nice thing about Asians, they will smile and nod their head as you go on and then when you leave they will laugh and think you are a complete looney toon. Sadly many Americans seem to interpret this small cultural courtesy as agreement.

President Obama changed his travel plans at the last minute forcing the Japanese Prime Minister and the Emperor to change their arrangements. The Prime Minister forced Obama to wait in his limo for five minutes before greeting him. The Prime Minister brought his cabinet for substantive discussion while Obama brought nobody important. The Prime Minister then left Japan while Obama was still on Japanese soil searching for someone to offer an apology or a bow. We should be better.

All this will come to a head next year. They've shot their wad and expect the attention span of the public to wane.
I hate to say it but Obama is the best thing to happen to the Conservative movement, the great awakening has happened. No more Bob Doles or Denny Hasterts.

You appear to be the only person (other than me) who read the article. For all those who commented without reading, this is actually a pro-Obama article. The author’s premise is that free markets are so mistrusted now because of the crash that not even Obama’s tremendous popularity could make the trip a success.

I thought the Hon. election was for 29 November?

And on 30 November the 100 dumbest will debate Obamacare.

Right now Wall Street, Alan Greenspan and the Chicago-school of market mania has so undercut America’s standing in Asia by the horrible recession they caused, that even President Obama’s popularity couldn’t overcome it’s negative impact.

Tell it to Deng Xiaoping. Freedom? Who needs it? Capitalism? Now there's an idea! (as long as they genuflect before the Party as they laugh all the way to the bank)

The Atlantic Monthly is starting to get leaks from the Administration as to their displeasure about how all the Asian and US press coverage on Obama in Asia was NEGATIVE, and how it should not be that way. Kind of a hoot to read it. This is somewhat juicy backchannel stuff. Very poor defense if you ask me. I can see why they dont come out and say it and counter all the charges directly, but choose journalists and columnists to backchannel it to instead.
