Big Crowds Already for Sarah Palin’s Saturday Night Visit

Henrietta, N.Y. -- Hundreds of Sarah Palin fans are already lined up outside the Borders bookstore in Henrietta, getting ready for Sarah Palin's visit on Saturday.

The Rochester stop is the only scheduled destination in New York state on her “Going Rogue” book signing tour. She is scheduled to be in Henrietta from 6 to 9 p.m.

Fans started lining up since around 7 p.m. Friday, and the line for wristbands to gain entry to the book signing was stretching all the way down the shopping plaza Saturday morning. 1,000 wristbands were to be given out.

Only people who purchased their book at Borders could get a wristband,

The article states that Rochester is the only NY stop, yet this one is in Henrietta, N.Y.

Henrietta abutts the south end of Rochester which is a very Dem "welfare" city.

The Henrietta site was probably the best to accomodate folks.

Certainly they'll have to figure out a way (a la Newt) to deprive Sarah of any proceeds from book sales.

Hillary got all of hers, but that was "different."

Joyskid is in that group somewhere. She lives in the next town east, Pittsford. Henrietta is just outside the city limits and one of the many suburbs that surround and make up greater Rochester.

The group in Rochester has been mentioned many times on FR and seem quite active.

Ms. Palin did a book signing in Washington, PA, close to Pittsburgh. Heard the crowds lined up the night before too.

That’s just the first half of the tour. She will probably crank it up again after the holidays. I hope.

I was at her book signing at Sam's Club in Washington, Pennsylvania this morning. We hadn't planned to go because of news reports about people camping overnight. But I called them early this a.m. and they said the news reports were exaggerated and they still had 400 or so wristbands to give out. We hustled on down there and missed the last band by about 30 minutes.

It was disappointing, but we bought a book nevertheless and met some great people. The Sam's Club location, I think, limited the crowd here to members only. Wish I had gotten there 30 minutes sooner and not been discouraged by the media reports.

I had already bought the book...don't have a San's club membership...realizd it was going to be quite a logistics problem to get there early enough to even see her so Wife and I decided to stay home. I'm regretting that now.

My mistake.

There was a thread this morning with people complaining that they didn't get their books at this Rochester (Henrietta, N.Y.) event even before it started!

And others saying that in Columbus, Ohio that she didn't sign all the books.

Actually, she did.

She went outside after finishing all the ones with wristbands, and signed EVERY book that people had outside.

She is doing just fine.

It will be interesting to see how this one comes off.

The signing should have started about 1/2 hour ago.

If she continues the tour into 2010, you'll have to get a wrist band from the venue hosting her. That will mean getting up very early in the morning or camping out the night before to get one of one-thousand wrist bands to guarantee you that your book is signed.

Gov. P. has stated that after the last December signing, then she will head to Alaska for the holidays. So it seems that the tour will continue in 2010. Just watch her Facebook page or Harper Collins to find out the latest on the tour.

She is only going as far west as NV, so I will bet after the holidays she will go to Washington, Oregon and California.

I sure hope so.

I do know that people in Redding, Calif have a signed contract for her to appear in their town on Feb 8th, 2010.

‘They’ said in their tease that ‘hundreds’ showed up, then said in the story that 1,000 people got books signed. I guess that was tens of hundreds.
