Breitbart to AG Holder: Investigate ACORN or Well Release More Tapes Just Before 2010 Election

Earlier tonight Andrew Breitbart, James OKeefe and Hannah Giles discussed the final chapter of the ACORN L.A. saga [1] on Hannity, but more interestingly, Breitbart disclosed where the story goes from here. Transcript (below) starts from 3:50 into the clip:
Breitbart: Theres a lot of hypocrisy and the dust has settled for ACORN and at the end of the day theyve recognized that Eric Holder, the Attorney General, has not initiated an investigation into ACORN after we now have seven tapes. There were five initially that came out, ACORN was defunded by the Senate, was defunded by the House, lost its link to the Census; while all that damage occurred, Congress didnt come in to investigate them, obviously not the Attorney Generals office, and theyve now realized lets get back into business because they realized that the dust settled and they were not being investigated, it was Hannah, James, and me who were being investigated, thats why weve been forced to offer this latest tape.
Hannity: Are you saying, Andrew, that there are more tapes?
Breitbart: Oh my goodness there are!

He has started now. Actually, he started weeks ago.
If he were to release all the tapes now, the issue would be dead in two weeks.
Better to keep it active.
You go Andrew.
However, there may be a way this backfires. Holder could start an investigation and subpoena the tapes, put Breitbart on a court ordered non-disclosure as this is an ongoing investigation, then stonewall until after the election, essentially hiding all the tapes.
Blackmail is done privately to extort money or goods. The secrecy is the whole point, if the crime or scandal is exposed the blackmailer loses his hold on the victim.
This is a group of concerned citizens trying to shame the government into doing its job. They aren't seeking any monetary gain, nor are they doing it in secret -- they're doing it VERY publicly.
If Holder wasn't trying to shield ACORN and the administration (and that in itself is likely the crime of obstruction of justice), he wouldn't be in this mess.
SAMIZDAT —that’s the word that described the pariah press in the former USSR. They were the only folks who could speak the truth, and tiny with poor funding they existed side by side with the State Controlled Media.
THE USA NOW, TOO, HAS A SAMIZDAT.
Matt, Andy and those 2 hero college kids are part of this growing movement —hopefully with the same end results.
Sending moderates to fight extremists is like sending negotiators to fight wars.
Me neither. I'm not too interested in any phony investigation by the Democrats who will undoubtedly supress evidence and portray Acorn as the victim of (gasp) bigotry. Release the tapes near the election anyway. The Dems always set the rules of engagement and they wouldn't hesitate for a second to release these tapes just before an election.
Definitely not blackmail.
Doing the job MSM/SCM won’t do.
Unlike JF Kerry, reporting for duty!!!
Sounds to me like Andrew is calling out the sheriff...do your job of face the consequences. But call it whatever you want to, I like it! We need more Americans who aren’t afraid to face these bullies down.
Meanwhile, wouldn’t you just love to have tapped the cellphone conversations last night between Holder and Obama?
Yes, but this is a very strong bargaining position because Holder - and therefore zer0 - can be held complicit if they have now been warned and do nothing. Especially if there are links to them or their operatives on tape that Holder, etc. might suspect but aren't sure about.
Also, this could get ACORN active behind the scenes and outside observers might catch them making mistakes or destroying evidence. In a world of citizen journalists this sounds like an *excellent* time for Breitbart to play this threat card IMO. When he actually releases the tapes will be determined by future events.
He also needs to stay in the news so he doesn’t meet with an unfortunate ‘accident’ caused by somebody in a purple shirt.
After Holder’s incoherant testimony about the ksm trial, I doubt he has the brains, much less the fortitude, much less the morality to forge ahead with any investigation. Criminal or otherwise. Because no matter what goes down in this country, you are going to find big name dems, including his nasty boss and his nasty mate.
Holder is reno in blackface.
“Do your job or we’ll do it for you” is blackmail? Please explain....
hh
Not only does he have goods on ACORN, but others (he didn’s say who). Hope it’s SEIU.
D’oh!! ;-)
Not sure how many more cover-ups and stonewalling situations Holder can get away with. It's more and more apparent that he's trying to control the Fort Hood investigation, and control the evidence that becomes public.
And, as shrewd as Breitbart has been so far, I'm sure there are multiple copies of these videos around and it would be really difficult to prevent at least one from leaking to Fox or some other news agency if Holder tried to go the non-disclosure route. Heck, Fox might already have copies to be used as needed.
Breitbart may have tipped his hand a little too much now. Releasing the tapes my be in his best interest now.
At the very least, I hope he has these videos saved in several media storage methods (optical disks, memory sticks, hard drives, off-shore servers, etc.).
AG Holder obviously is not concerned about justice and would not hesitate to use the full power of his office to seize the remaining videos pending “a full investigation” into the potential violation of ACORN worker’s rights.
I agree.
Breitbart to Holder: Investigate ACORN or we’ll release more tapes before 2010.
Holder to Breitbart: I will not be intimidated!
Just like I won’t back down over having
the KSM trial in New York City!
——I love this, it’s a classic poker strategy.
Who knows what hand Breitbart actually holds?
Who knows if there’s anything he’s got from James and
Hannah that’s appreciably more damaging than what’s
already come out?
Having said that, this is EXACTLY the way the political power
game should be played, and Breitbart seems to know
that instinctively.
