Not sure what is really driving the anti-Palin mania but it is interesting to watch. Of course most of the antics of the MSM only drives normal folks to want to see what the fuss is about. Hello there Sarah...
The more they hate her, the more she will rise above it and reach the people.
Palin will start addressing Oba-Mao soon, then you will see.
One of these days a brave and astute atheist is going to admit that conservative Christianity is the most effective weapon We the People have against statism.
Going rogue so early...might just have been the only antidote to 24/7 media Obama lust. It might be proven to have been the only antidote to the ubiquitous obama propaganda. It might just be the only thing big enough to keep those bastards in check.
“Palin is a threat because she symbolizes decency in a country that has been taken hostage by moral degenerates.”
I doubt that I have ever seen it described so well.
To paraphrase Dennis Miller: I like Sarah Palin because she pisses off all the right people.
Heh!!
“they’ll cover up for him as though they were protecting a child with a debilitating disease”
He is a child with a debilitating disease...
True story: One the way to the Boston Public Library to vote last election. While waiting to cross the street, a young meter maid stood next to me and we crossed together. I asked is she had been near the library and was it busy?
She had, it was, and she was looking forward to her shift ending so she could go and vote for Sarah Palin.
Didn't give a fig about Obama or McCain but stated “ Sarah..Sarah is just like one of us. She knows what its like to worry about putting food on the table, raising her kids, clipping coupons - shes worked - shes just..she one of us “
Young black girl about 28 or so, from Boston said this. Sarah connects and that is what scares the hell out of the left.
I liked that too, short and sweet.
I haven’t seen anything like the anti-Palin hysteria since the anti-Reagan hysteria. My sense is that it’s because she has the same kind of plain spoken common sense that Reagan had. It resonates with people across party lines and the Dem hardliners know it. It’s a quality that you can’t aquire by ivy league education or by hiring the right campaign manager. It’s something that transcends the pecking order of the established hierarchy regardless of party. Probably why some Republican establishment types have the anti-Palin hysteria too.
“Sarah is just like one of us.”
You betcha! Think you might have hit on the problem with the MSM...
A: Sarah is the most naturally appealing politician in a generation.
The Left has to kill her.
Confucius put it very well—when a student spoke of a recently deceased statesman, the student asked if the dead man had been a superior man.
Confucius said no.
“Why not”? said the student “All the people liked him”
Confucius said: “A superior man is one where only the good like and admire him—the evil ones hate and fear him”.
Damn if you are not right! I have been trying to understand just why the “so called Republican” are putting her down. I think that you may have hit upon the answer...
She absolutely does have the qualities of Regan - truthful, non PC responses to problems. Hell, even if she is perceived as wrong, it is such a wonderful difference from the normal political crap that it is honest to most people.
The other answer is that they fear for their political future since she will not put up with political nonsense!
Profiles in Courage was ghostwritten by Ted Sorensen.
