To paraphrase Dennis Miller: I like Sarah Palin because she pisses off all the right people.

Confucius put it very well—when a student spoke of a recently deceased statesman, the student asked if the dead man had been a superior man.

Confucius said no.

“Why not”? said the student “All the people liked him”

Confucius said: “A superior man is one where only the good like and admire him—the evil ones hate and fear him”.

I hate to say this but I am hearing a lot of negative comments about Sarah from independants that I know. They profess to dislike Democrats but the view that they have on Sarah has been shaped by the media portrayal of her. To put the point bluntly, they seem to think that Sarah is a not too bright, bible thumping, extremist. I do not subscribe to that view at all. I think Sarah is quite clever and that her values are in line with mine. I am finding it quite disconcerting however, to see how effective the campaign to damage her has been.
