We've all seen the photo:
But does it tell the whole truth? I'm as anti Obama as anyone but the fact is Obama did have his hand on his heart, just not at the last second of a long musical note. Let me explain:
Here is the video. Look at 2:33-2:37 the video clearly shows he does have hand on heart and then the camera pans away. Camera returns at 2:56 and Obama still has hand on heart till 2:59 when camera pans away again.
The problem is when do you put your hand back down? As can be clearly scene as the last loooooooooong note is played at 3:29 a number of people lower their hands (including the couple directly to the right of the trumpet) at 3:38. The woman in red to the left still has her hand on her heart for a few more seconds. Had the photo been taken right then, it would appear the couple to the right were unpatriotic because in a photo their hands were down when compared to others.
Obama may have been a little quicker than others to put his hand down (maybe patriotism is hard for him-lol) but he did have it up unlike the famous photo with Hillary and Richardson.
It was on his buff chest, he does not possess a human heart.
“Michelle, on the other hand, was definitely scratching her nuts......”
Thanks, I needed a chuckle today!
Great point.
Like great comedy needing to be based in truth, this picture will contine to make the email rounds because it is believable. The ‘truth’ about Obama is that he doesn’t love America. Too bad for him that every opportunity to prove that truth will be taken.
While others around him continued to hold their hands over their hearts or salute, O dropped his hand. That’s still true. He should be smart enough to know his every move is recorded.
That depends on the meaning of "it".
