WASHINGTON -- What a surprise -- that someone who shouts "Allahu Akbar" (the "God is great" jihadist battle cry) as he is shooting up a room of American soldiers might have Islamist motives. It certainly was a surprise to the mainstream media, which spent the weekend after the Fort Hood massacre downplaying Nidal Hasan's religious beliefs.
"I cringe that he's a Muslim. ... I think he's probably just a nut case," said Newsweek's Evan Thomas. Some were more adamant. Time's Joe Klein decried "odious attempts by Jewish extremists ... to argue that the massacre perpetrated by Nidal Hasan was somehow a direct consequence of his Islamic beliefs." While none could match Klein's peculiar cherchez-le-juif motif, the popular story line was of an Army psychiatrist driven over the edge by terrible stories he had heard from soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
They suffered. He listened. He snapped.
Really? What about the doctors and nurses, the counselors and physical therapists at Walter Reed Army Medical Center who every day hear and live with the pain and the suffering of returning soldiers? How many of them then picked up a gun and shot 51 innocents?
And what about civilian psychiatrists -- not the Upper West Side therapist treating Woody Allen neurotics, but the thousands of doctors working with hospitalized psychotics -- who every day hear not just tales but cries of the most excruciating anguish, of the most unimaginable torment? How many of those doctors commit mass murder?

OK Evan Thomas, I'll go you one better. I cringe that our "commander in chief" is a muslim, and yes I also think he's a nut-case.
What I would like to know and I haven’t heard anybody ask of the military or government, is...
1. How many other “Nidal Hasans” are currently in our military?
2. Has the military made actively searching for similar cases the highest priority?
3. Has there been a high level commission appointed to investigate how and why we let an islamist that hates america and the military serve, get premium education, and get promoted?
4. Have there been any changes in the recruiting process to weed out people like Hasan?
5. Will the policy to keep servicemen unarmed within a base be scrapped?
What is clear to the majority is that this is a terrorist act. Commited by an Islamic religious fanatic, a Jihadist. There is little difference between Nidal Hasan and any of the 911 highjackers. I argue if Hasan could have used an Airplane to crash into the Fort Hood barracks he would have.
Obama and the Rat Liberals would have us believe this was anyting but terror. They want to use a victimization strategy.
The Fact is that Obama by not recognizing and labeling this act for what it is, is placing more Americans at risk. If another such attack happens Obama should be impeached immediately for neglecting his responsibilities under the Constitution for keeping Americans SAFE.
I think we see and hear what we do from the MSM, because they think there are still people who believe that radical Islam is something that was made up by George Bush.....that 9/11 was an internal government plot to persecute Muslims....who else, or what else, would believe the crap they state and print???
I quit “cringing” all together back when I quit watching the MSM totally. I only watch FOX now.

This was a terrorist attack, on our soil, against our military and on Obama’s watch, period.
Bush kept us safe for nearly 8 years, Obama failed at that... in less than a year.

How exactly does "they suffered, he listened" equal "he snapped"? Where is the logic, or the empirical evidence to support this theory? How many other psychiatrists have treated a particular group of Americans with psychological trauma and then gone out and murdered as many of them as he could? How can these filthy, lying liberal vermin even try to put forward such idiocy? I guess they feel their media audience are a bunch of idiots, and they probably are.
But just you watch, the stinking lawyers who will vigorously defend this Islamic devil with put forth the theory that he had such "compassion" for our suffering combat veterans that he just wanted to end their suffering. They will call it a sort of "compassionate mercy killing spree" or some such nonsense. Of course they will argue that this islamic terrorist was mentally ill as well, but underneath it all he was just a compassionate muslim who tried to end his patients' suffering by killing them. What the Army ought to do is run this trial through with all the swiftness they can muster, and then publicly hang this worthless, murderous dog. And let the message be clear, any more koranic worshipping dogs caught in acts of terror will be publicly hung by the neck until dead.
