September 10 America. The phrase signifies a reprise of the terrorism is just a crime mindset that reigned in the years before the 9/11 attacks. Like other observers, Ive groused in recent months that we are back to that self-destructive ethos. I was wrong. If the Fort Hood atrocity tells us anything, it is that things are much worse than they were before 9/11.
For one thing, 9/11 has happened. Before it did, perhaps we had an excuse. But weve experienced the wages of consciously avoiding Islamism. To have retreated into puerile fantasies about a religion of peace is, at this juncture, unfathomable.
Fathom it, though, we must. In 2008, I wrote a book called Willful Blindness to describe governments stubborn refusal to deal with the nature and magnitude of jihadism when it first emerged as a domestic threat in the early Nineties. For a long time, Id resisted writing about the experience of prosecuting Muslim terrorists. Im very proud of what we did, but the story is a painful one of warning signs missed and lives lost. Having lived it, I wasnt anxious to relive it.
Yet, more than a decade after Muslim terrorists declared war on the United States by bombing the World Trade Center, we were still making the same errors, with wishful thinking about Islam still substituting for sober analysis. It seemed important to go back to the beginning, to explore why jihadism is a profound threat, why weve underestimated it, and why it is so perilous to treat a national-security challenge as if it were a mere legal problem. In a display of my own wishful thinking

they no longer need terror attacks, the destruction is occurring from within now.
Wow, hard hitting article. Be sure to read all of it.

How do we address festering problems like this without losing our own freedoms to thoughtcrime? If McCarthy wants to know how to go to court and show “cagey,” “generalized” statements of religious doctrines to be incitement, the homosexual lobby would be his friend. He should ask them about how the Bible “incites violence against homosexuals,” and he should listen well and take voluminous notes.
Excellent article!
I have been getting progressively more upset all day about this. At first I was enraged because I thought of it as the full flowering of Dem anti-Bush insanity (because, as Rush pointed out, this will be a trial of the eeevil George Bush and not of Khalid Muhammed).
But now I’m beginning to think it means that we have been infiltrated so badly that we have almost no hope of saving ourselves from a complete takeover, one which will be virtually impossible to resist because it is silent, consensual, and being carried out by our Muslim president himself.
How did this happen? Or more important, what can we do? I fear that even the military, as McCarthy pointed out, has been coopted by Islam.
Islam should not be allowed in the United States. It advocates the violent overthrow of the government. It would like to take over peacfully, maybe, but what other
religion grants heaven specificaly for killing the enemy.
We’re just tolerant of people who want to kill us because
of a religion.
How do we shoot bullets rather than hurl boomerangs at the problem. This is the question.
The difference is that the courts are already predisposed to find the Bible and Christianity guilty of any and all kinds of crime. They are, on the other hand, predisposed to protect Islam.
Islam’s “scriptures” are violent with reference to just about any group other than Muslims (Jews, Christians, infidels in general) and urge their death, and Islamic believers demonstrably act on this and have caused the death of many of us. While homosexuality (particularly homosexual pedophilia) is standard practice, along with bestiality, in Islam, its imams shriek about homosexuals and they have been put to death in Islamic countries. Yet Islam is so special to American courts and law enforcement that Muslims even trump homosexuals as a protected group that can do no wrong.
This is insanity.
The answer is obvious, but expressing it even here on FR will get you banned.
Ironic, eh?
Just be glad that I’m not in charge of anything, because I
don’t know. I am not a leader, I just know wrong when I see it.
Don't be so sure. I sense a change in the air here in the past few months. Tough ideas are being looked at in a new light.
If speaking of things like not permitting Saudi Arabia to subsidize US based madrassas and mosques any more, that’s fairly innocuous.
I simply fear that, whatever measures are instituted, Christians will be forced to take the role of scapegoat in order to get those measures past the Democrats and the courts (but I am redundant).
"The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam. That's not what Islam is all about. Islam is peace. These terrorists don't represent peace. They represent evil and war." --- President George W. Bush (September 17, 2001)
Interesting remark made at the end of this piece about Eric Holder having spoken at the CAIR conference.
Can’t help but wonder if his decision to try Khalid Sheik Muhammad in civil court wasn’t the handiwork of CAIR getting to the attorney general.
These are truly sickening times.
If political correctness is not destroyed, then political correctness will destroy us.

While I agree 100% I can just see myself walking into my inner city high school class room, writing the above on my board, spinning to address the room (90% black) and saying:
"Okay, I'm here to kill this particular BEAST. It's time we started calling a spade a SPADE!"
OH Yeah. That'd go real well in that setting. Like the proverbial PELOSI in the punchbowl.
Do you remember the incident, I believe it was last year, meybe earlier, about the Pentagon policymaker (Was his name England???) who was forced out because he was studying Islam 's precepts regarding warfare, and was urging the Pentagon to understand it further; a Muslim inside the Pentagon objected and forced the policy analyst out.
I must do some more research on this.
Well those chickens came home to roost.
The only policy our Armed Forces should be implementing is that of e pluribus unum.
If you want to be in the military, you must become "at one with" everyone else.
"Diversity" is a Golden Calf.
