Did Joe tell the magistrate that he just wanted to kiss her?
What the heck did Namath do to this dog?
Suzy Kohlber would disagree.
LMAO
That was my first impression too...how do you make a yellow lab retriever cross mean other than abuse?
In May 2007, a delivery driver said he was attacked by one of the dogs, but he could not identify which one injured him.
Not that I ever thought he was.

Someone needs to tell Chet99 that yellow labs are a menace to society besides pit bulls.
Send him to the Michael Vick school for dogs?
Dangerous Yellow Lab???
Dog must have gone neurotic seeing his master wearing pantyhose.
(remember that commercial?)
Is Cindy Sheehan under the same restrictions, for the same reason ?
Two Namath advs. from YouTube:

When I know that someone will be on my property with my permission, I put them in the house.
Otherwise, if you come on my property, you take your chances.
Since he knew people would be on the property working, he should have had the dogs put up.
Just a couple of days ago some idiot from the electric company came into my yard (wrong house), and my dogs had him corralled, one in front and one behind. Hubby had to go out and handle them so he could leave.
My dogs have never bitten anyone, but I certainly can't guarantee that they wouldn't.
Twice my Lab has pinned men against a wall with her snarling and growling, once inside and once outside. I had to physically remove her from the situation. On one occasion when three strange men came into the yard, she went after them like a shot, and they barely got out before she reached them. I have no idea who they were, and I was glad she did it because a neighbor had been robbed a week before that.
I have great guard dogs, and I am super happy about that.
Now, Namath obviously knew his dogs were protective, and after the first bite should have ALWAYS had the dogs put up when people were expected on his property.
Until I learn more, I will give Joe the benefit of the doubt.
We had a yellow lab who lived to the ripe old age of 16. We loved that dog.. He was the most good natured dog ever. But if a stranger even approached our garage, teeth would show. If they attempted to walk into the garage or tried to pet him he would nip.
None of the kids in the neighborhood were afraid of him. He was one of the gang. But they knew, do not go into Buck’s garage unless they were going into the house with one of my kids. If anyone wanted to break into the house, Buck would stand there wagging his tail if it was the front door, back door or a window.
Sounds as if Joe’s dog was doing what a dog does, protecting his territory. I am wondering if any of those 4 may have tried to pet him.
That being said, I also wonder if Joe had a “beware of dog” sign posted. He should have put the dog up if he knew the landscape tech or when the contractor was there.
Better yet, send for Cesar from National Geographic Channel. He can straighten out any dog.
First they came for the pitbulls, and I did not speak out because I did not own one. Then they came for the Rottweilers, and I did not speak out because did not own one...Now they're coming for Joe Namath's retriever.
