To regain its strength, an out-of-power party like the Republicans needs ideas to fuel its recovery and leaders to promote and deliver them. In this war of ideas, those committed to presenting a sensible, philosophically grounded conservative case to Americans play a special role. Because conservatives are distrustful of concentrated power, it is awkward to select just seven Washington power players, but here are my picks...

Wow. Karl Rove is still the dumbest sack of sh*t to ever call himself a Republican. (People credit him for Bush’s 2000 vistory, but most people forget Bush was up 20 points in the polls BEFORE Rove was hired.)
Or more accurately, he thinks we’re dumb. McConnell, Boehner, Kyl and Cantor are all snake-oil salesman. They’d go to China, bring an illegal alien homosexual into the country, grab his gun, pay US taxpayer money to get them a sex change, rape it, and pay for their abortion, if they thought it they could get a chi-Com donation from doing so. To hell with the lot of them.
Gee, what a shock, no Sarah.

It's inside the Beltway where it's happening, baby!
[Rush Limbaugh
Glenn Beck
Sarah Palin
Michelle Bachmann
Jim DeMint
Mike Pence
Sean Hannity]
That’s a LOT better list.
Rove is an inside the beltway politician.
Well, you may be right, but do you honestly think his response was his, and his alone???
The GOP made a mistake in offering him up for execution for the delivery of that awful mess of a response...
They could have foisted that on any poor shlup, and they would have had to deliver...
If they had asked you (or I) to do it, it would have been near impossible to not accept the “honor” FWIW...
Just another shining example of how (the leadership) can get you caught up in the hype, and not realize you just shot yourself in the foot till it was too late...
Just my opinion...
I have 6 guns within reach of the computer.
The Second Amendment is as important to me as prefection in conservatism is apparently important to you.
That shows his lack of sensitivity considering that he is handicapped. I rarely remember to read him.
Ah, this is the guy who says that GWB is a conservative?
Why don’t we just ask Pee Wee Herman what he thinks?
Rove is the same idiot who tried to pass off Republican liberalism by calling it “compassionate conservatism”.
No.7 on the dimwit’s list is Walter Mondale’s former speechwriter. I guess Rove likes the fact that Krauthammer spent the 80s trying to defeat Ronald Reagan.
“Karl, youre a fickin joke. And sadly, you were a fricken joke on us.”
Now wait a second. Karl was Man of the Year of the National Council of La Raza, the racist illegal alien front group. How dare you impugn a patriot of Mexico?
Krauthammer was writing speeches for Mondale when he was running against Reagan. Why is he on any conservative list?
Bullseye.
Is Karl Rove the new Newt Gingrich?
(Ok, Rove is a slightly smarter number cruncher to be sure and a little more self aware)
Not a good list.
Agreed.
This is ridiculous.
Here is my list of the 7 most powerful conservatives:
Rush Limbaugh
Clarence Thomas
John Roberts
Sam Alito
Antonin Scalia
Sarah Palin
Roger Ailes
Aye Chihuahua... ;-)
I agree with your list over Rove’s.
