Bias at MSNBC, Fox is harmful, says Charles Gibson
Boston Herald ^ | November 11, 2009 | Thomas Grillo

An ABC TV network news anchor said he’s troubled by what he called the biased news coverage of Fox and MSNBC.

“I worry about the lack of objectivity and the future of the news business,” Charles Gibson told a Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce audience yesterday.

The host of ABC’s “World News” program said the two cable networks are playing to niche audiences - Fox to conservatives and MSNBC to liberals - to the detriment of what should be objective news gathering and reporting.

Gibson gets more views when he’s in the newspaper.

Hey Chuckles, you knuckle-head; Do you suppose having ACORN skimming money and working across multiple cities to place a Hooker and her Pimp in Gov't subsidized housing was just a 'Conservative Issue'?

How about Van Jones, a devout Communist working as a Czar? Is that a Conservative Issue too?

How about the White House Press Secretary that stepped down this week? Was she just a Conservative story too? And Obama flying AF1 a day after Michele took a couple more jets at taxpayer expense to fly in a bid to get the Olympics in Chicago? All that is Conservative news?

How about the gov't failure to deliver H1N1 vaccines to the US citizens who are counting on the Gov't to manage this single issue? You are aware that the Gov't failed, but now wants to control all of the medical industry across the nation. Is that a Conservative Issue?

How about the US bank and automotive take over? What about the Afghanistan, Iraq and Guantonimo prison?

So, tell me again why Fox's worst programming is better than your prime time?

Yes he spends to much time at his George Jetson’s style ski home up in Deer Valley, rubbing elbows with Katzenbaum, Spielberg and the Hollywood crowds. What a soon to be washed up has been!

I thought Charles Gibson was being replaced by that other class act, Diane Sawyer. When is that earth shaking change
happening? Excuse me if it happened already, I don’t catch
snooze news very much.

Here was the one bright thing in this piece.

Still, the 66-year-old newscaster, who will retire in January,

And may he have a long and pleasant retirement and never be heard from again.

“I worry about the lack of objectivity and the future of the news business,”

1) Lack of objectivity: Gibson's "attack-interview" of Sarah Palin

2) Future of the news business: Gibson himself said he knew nothing about the ACORN office videos (completely vapid about the current news)

Gibson is a hypocrite whose retirement is long past due. He should quit worrying about the news business - it will fare far better without him.

Because “objective news gathering” obviously involves taking your interview subjects words out of context so that they say the opposite of what was meant, and make them look like a religious fanatic.

Just wondering if Charlie checked the ratings of these two networks first and might have closed his trap before babbling drivel.

MSNBC has an audience the size and intellect of a gnat.

FNC has an audience the size of a good part of intelligent America.

Gibson is another gnat on the pile of dung that is the msm

Hey, Charlie... One word:

ACORN
ACORN
ACORN

Sometimes you have to say something more than once to get your point across.

This coming from a guy who attacked Sarah Palin and who slobbers over BO every time he gets a chance. Look at the beam in your own eye, Charlie, before you complain about the speck in someone else’s eye.
