Bless you La Enchaliadita for bringing this thread to us. IMHO most of us have been waiting to get an update on those injured and NOT about the shooter’s condition (which is the way typical media thinks - with concern for the perp and not the victims).

This is NOT directed at you.

FORT HOOD -- This is the latest information on the injured. There are 16 people still hospitalized, including the alleged shooter. Seven victims are still in intensive care unit and 9 others people are still being treated.

He was seen by each victim.  He was seen by the officer who shot her weapon and hit the target four times, becoming wounded herself, which led to her losing half the blood in her body.  He was seen by the arresting officers.  He has been seen by many others since.  I think we can safely say this is the shooter, with no ands, ifs or buts about it.

He was captured on site.  They didn't slip us a mickey.  This is the guy.

So we have seen how alleged can be used improperly.  Here is an example of how it can be used properly.

Wounded soldier’s father is glad to have his baby girl home in Clear Lake (TX)

HOUSTON—Army Specialist Dayna Ferguson did something 13 soldiers won’t on Wednesday, she returned home.

The Houston soldier is among the dozens of wounded who survived last Thursday’s shooting rampage at Fort Hood.

Ferguson is expected to make a full recovery. Her parents say they’re going to make sure of it.

Thank you so much. All this time I have wanted to know more about the injured in order to pray for them more specifically. I still wish, even if they can’t name names, that they told us maybe some general description of each and the types of wounds.

It does seem like he was not trying to just spray the room with bullets but to make sure he was killing each. All the stories of multiple bullets in each victim...

May everyone still injured heal completely (this does not apply to the terrorist).

A dozen of the wounded remained at local hospitals in stable condition, another Army official said Thursday. One was still in intensive care. Grey said investigators have not been able to talk to some victims because of the severity of their injuries.
