I am certainly not an expert in photoanalysis, but those two people are not happy. There is anger between the two of them, the knit eyebrows show anger, not grief or compassion.
SHE does NOT want to be there, especially sitting next to HIM... That is a pair of ANGRY people.

Does that woman ever stop scowling? I don’t believe that I’ve ever seen a public figure exhibit such ugliness on a regular basis in all my life.
For his part, Obama actually looks appropriately pained in that photo (not that I’m reading anything into that). He’s a cipher. Who knows what he feels?
