General George Casey Jr., the Army chief of staff, said on Sunday that he was concerned that speculation about the religious beliefs of Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, accused of killing 12 fellow soldiers and one civilian and wounding 30 0thers in a shooting rampage at Fort Hood, could “cause a backlash against some of our Muslim soldiers.”
“I’ve asked our Army leaders to be on the lookout for that,” General Casey said in an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union. “It would be a shame — as great a tragedy as this was — it would be a shame if our diversity became a casualty as well.”

A normal non-traitor in his position would be concenred about non-Muslims being slaughtered by Muslims in the military. And he’d do something about it.

I think I see where this thing is headed.
I anticipate American military policy, led by our Muslin POTUS to begin showing favoritism for Muslims in the service. I would watch for policy changes such as, if you are Muslim, you do not have to be deployed in south Asia nor should it place them in a conscientious objector status thereby unduly risking their performance evaluations.
They’ll begin to favor more Islamic military within the continental US and send those with other religious affiliations into harms’ way.

Hassan TOLD everyone who he was for months and months, this would not be ‘profiling”..You don’t need to profile when someone comes up to you and in large public venues says, “Hey I think what the Jhihadis are doing is noble!” They ask me at the airport if I left my bag laying around, but Gen Casey’s Brass can’t corrale a flaming Terrorist who tells you he IS!??
We still need loyal Muslims, translators, cultural info, etc. There would be NO problem with a Muslim soldier IF the Asssshats had just done something about this Self Professed Radical!

The Germans didn’t attack us the way the Japanese did. In fact Hitler showed considerable restraint in the face of our overt aid to Great Britain. Ourfleet was badly crippled. There was nothing except the lack of a desire to do so, or logistics or his failure to bag our carriers, that kept Yamamoto’s fleet from sailing to the West Coast and attacking our ports. Those in the know were in a panic, and rightly so. I am gratified that most Japanese stayed loyal, especially those in Hawaii, and a feel for the many injustices done to them by opportunists, but such things happen in war. Sherman treated Southerners far worse than we did the Japanese during WWII.
As far as treatment of Germans as an enemy, you need to bone up on the treatment of Germans during WWI. Besides,during WWII many suspicious Germans and Italians were rounded up after we went to war with those countries, more or less as Muslims were after 9/11.

Let's compare apples to apples: While we did accept those of German ancestry, we did not allow sworn Nazi's to serve in our armed forces during WWII. I have no problem with allowing those of Middle Eastern ancestry serve, I have a BIG problem with allowing those of the hateful Muslim faith in our armed forces.
Distinguishing between "good" and "bad" Muslims is like distinguishing between "good" and "bad" Nazis.

I have always had a suspicion that the Islamofascist knew they couldn’t beat us on the field of battle.

THere are plenty of Jews, Christians or even a few ex-Muslims who can provided these needed services.
IIRC Arabic speaking Jews who offered to work for the FBI were not hired, in favor of actual Muslims.
And how, pray tell, does one separate the “loyal” Muslims from the regular kind?

The backlash and weeding out of the military can come along ...I am waiting for massess of American Muslims to march to Washington denouncing Jhihad! Giving speeches there saying “We will turn the terrorists in..We denounce you...we will work with the Americans!”
