Major Nidal Malik Hasan, the gunman who killed 13 at America's Fort Hood military base, once gave a lecture to other doctors in which he said non-believers should be beheaded and have boiling oil poured down their throats.
He also told colleagues at America's top military hospital that non-Muslims were infidels condemned to hell who should be set on fire. The outburst came during an hour-long talk Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, gave on the Koran in front of dozens of other doctors at Walter Reed Army Medical Centre in Washington DC, where he worked for six years before arriving at Fort Hood in July.
Colleagues had expected a discussion on a medical issue but were instead given an extremist interpretation of the Koran, which Hasan appeared to believe.
It was the latest in a series of "red flags" about his state of mind that have emerged since the massacre at Fort Hood, America's largest military installation, on Thursday.
Hasan, armed with two handguns including a semi-automatic pistol, walked into a processing centre for soldiers deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan, where he killed 13 and injured more than 30.
Fellow doctors have recounted how they were repeatedly harangued by Hasan about religion and that he openly claimed to be a "Muslim first and American second."
One Army doctor who knew him said a fear of appearing discriminatory against a Muslim soldier had stopped fellow officers from filing formal complaints.
Another, Dr Val Finnell, who took a course with him in 2007 at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Maryland, did complain about Hasan's "anti-American rants." He said: "The system is not doing what it's supposed to do. He at least should have been confronted about these beliefs, told to cease and desist, and to shape up or

This guy’s background check for his security clearance must have been fairly perfunctory.

Thank God for the Foreign Press where the truth is told. Just as I said: http://www.brayincandy.com/
Another 13 Americans sacrificed to Political Correctness.
Pray for America and Our Troops
If this is true, these weren’t merely red flags, these were neon flashing lights.
I think maybe the media, and the medical officers in the Army, have been so secular that they really don’t understand that any educated American, who is not a fundamentalist Christian, could actually take an action that is religiously motivated.
They look for the motivations that a secular person would have, like resentment, self-esteem issues, etc. What in their profession prepares them for someone who acts out of religious conviction? Obama has this disconnect, too, because he has never done anything for a committed, religious reason.
It’s not that common, but there are some people who profoundly need to follow a radical, religious calling. If there is not a productive, challenging path to put them on, and a lot of sane guidance and discipline from good people, they will respond to the zeal and attraction of evil people. The Muslim community will not or cannot redirect their radical children. Christians had better find a way to reach them and lead them. Christians also need to direct our own people who yearn for an extreme challenge, so they don’t go find the Taliban, too.
A sorrowful, but predictable, outcome of the Political Correctness espoused by the progressives and socialists currently in charge. There will no doubt be more happenings such as this if we allow the PC crowd to continue to define the debate and set the agenda.
It’s time to take back the country.
“Colleagues had expected a discussion on a medical issue but were instead given an extremist interpretation of the Koran, which Hasan appeared to believe. “
There is nothing “extremist” about this “interpretation”. This is what the koran teaches, to ALL muslims. When will the world wake up to the fact that you cannot live peacefully with muslims. Either they must be eradicated, or you will be by them.
I cannot wait until they report the truth about how he was promoted this year. I hope they name names!
And when back in the good ol US of A he became part of Obumbler’s transition team, but don’t jump to any conclusions now, ya hear !
The foreign media is the only media we can trust these days
Now, if I should dare say something in reverse on Facebook...I could be sued. Did you catch the beebs on the streets of NY saying they hate everything the US stands for? OK...really...leave. They are being “watched”, but they get lost beebs to do the dirty work and praise them.
Hasan is a terrorist...this was a hate crime...where ya at Zero?
If this is true, say goodbye to the USA. The takeover apparently can’t be stopped.
Perhaps they are able to see it when it is here in the US, but I wonder if they "speak truth to power" when they are reporting on British situations. Political correctness seems to be even worse there than here.
Well thats all right then...
For a horrible moment I thought it was the reverse order....
I always gag on oil products....
“If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear”
quotes of George Orwell
Sadly our newspapers no longer espouse Freedom and Liberty.
Now they say the guy was wierd and try to segregate themselves from him.
Ridcalous action. What they should have done was report him instead of acting PC and then saying after the fact that this guy was oblviously anti-american.
“Ok, Im probably going to take some heat for saying this, but since when do the officers of our military put careers ahead of preventing terrorist attacks like what happened at Ft. Hood?”
Since the time of the Continental Congress - seems they dumped all over one of their best officers until he went to offer his services to the British.
Congressional corruption/incompetence is legendary. CYA is endemic in upper levels of command. History is full of such problems.
