Homeland chief: Fort Hood shootings no cause for anti-Muslim backlash

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates — The U.S. Homeland Security secretary says she is working to prevent a possible wave of anti-Muslim sentiment after the shootings at Fort Hood in Texas.

Janet Napolitano says her agency is working with groups across the United States to try to deflect any backlash against American Muslims following Thursday’s rampage by Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, a Muslim who reportedly expressed growing dismay over the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The shootings left 13 people dead and 29 wounded.

Napolitano was in the United Arab Emirates on Sunday for talks with security officials and a meeting with women university students in Abu Dhabi.

We don’t need massacres to justify anti-Muslim “backlash”. Islam is a repellent totalitarian system (not a religion) with the stated goal of using violence to subjugate and forcibly convert non-adherents. Resistance to this anti-Western system must be commensurate with the threat, which is total.

Do you know what's going to cause an anti-Muslim backlash? Blaming ordinary Americans, like Janet Napolitano is doing. The problem for the elites is America and Americans. In spite of Muslims murdering Americans from NY to LA and seemingly every week another plot by Muslims to murder Americans is broken up, the problem is the reaction by Americans to murder and being targeted for murder.

Let's see, we're racists if we want to secure the borders from invasion by tens of millions of illegal aliens. We're homophobes, if we don't go along with the latest liberal fad of legally recognized homosexual marriage. We want sick people to die quickly, if we don't go along with the biggest power grab in American History.

I've been fed up with this for years and I think that critical mass is being reached among ordinary Americans. Just ask Rep. Scozzafava, Gov. Corzine and Creigh Deeds.
