My Own Gaultian Plan
Me | 11-8-09 | Colvin

Posted on 11/07/2009 10:13:46 PM PST by Colvin

Health Care has passed the house, putting the icing on the cake of Tarp Bailouts and Czars. I have decided to pull in my oars, and will no longer pull. 1. I am buying my food as locally and from small farmers. This keeps $$$ away from large agri-business who fund congressional champains. 2. I moved my money to a small local bank. They are not funding projects out of state, and are as furious as I am about what congress has done lately. 3. I have pushed my 401K up to 12.5 percent, and should have it at 20% by mid 2010. This keeps my money out of the DC Snake pit. 4. I am making sure our traditional IRA's are at the limit this year. There will be little for them to tax after this move. 5. I should have my two credit cards paid off by the end of the year. This may be counter productive because it puts cash into the hands of Chase, but no plan is perfect. 6. We grow most of our own food.

What I am considering. I am thinking about creating a self directed IRA, and getting my money into bonds for companies that do not support liberals. Does any one know of any conservative bond or stock funds?

Are there additional ideas out there?

The work of Ayn Rand — which, to me, represents the heart and soul of conservatism — has never been more relevant.

You may want to rethink these two. Pelosi, queen vampire of the parasite constituency has her eyes on confiscating them..since you know, the government (especially Congress) is so much better in money matters than we are (apparently the ability to balance a budget is bad) and wants to save you from the dumb investment decisions you’ll make. She’ll invest for you and promise to pay you something like 3% on your money :-) That is if congress doesn’t raid those funds also and then by the time you retire there is nothing left.

Yep, avoid paying tax, buy used private party, internet where there’s no sales tax. Keep it legal though, the penalty for Conservatism will be high.

Let’s hope the tax deferred status of 401ks and IRAs are not repealed.

Are you exercising the 2nd Amendment? Have you upped your W-2 dependents to 10 or 12?

United we stand, divided we fall. Focus on getting your friends and neighbors to agree on a joint course of action that has a reasonable chance of success. Reasoned actions are preferable to emotional, uncoordinated ones.

The Tea Party movement has power precisely because its an organized group.

The next (and last remaining) money pot is 401k retirement savings. The concept of confiscating your entire principal and "paying you" a paltry 3% interest on it has already been floated. It will be "returned" to you along with your "social security" (from that bankrupt program). When you die, the government keeps anything not disbursed to you. It isn't part of your estate.

You know exactly what will happen. It will be confiscated and spent with reckless abandon. Your life savings will be a smoking pile of debris.

Pelosi looks south to Argentina where another statist parchment neck despot confiscated private retirement accounts for the government.

How are your "living off the land" skills? We may all be headed to life as "urban outdoorsmen".

I lost my job two weeks ago to the economic recovery. I will not take another job during this adminstruation even if I have to live under a bridge.

Our ancestors nearly killed off all the wild game in the country by about 1925, when there were many fewer people and they were using more primitive weapons. There will be no "living off the land" if there is a serious societal breakdown. Every deer in America will be dead in three months if that is to become the main source of protein for 300 million Americans.

And they’ll put it through by applying the same failed ponzi scheme.

They’ll take it in order to give to the retiring Baby Boomers whose retirement plan has been wiped out.

They’ll promise to pay you back through future 401K contributions.

They’re as good as gone.

Anyone who still has theirs in the markets is just begging to have them stolen by the market manipulators anyway.
