FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) ― Former President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura, visited wounded soldiers and their families near the site of the worst mass shooting on an Army post in the United States.
The Bushes made their private visit to Fort Hood's Darnall Army Medical Center on Friday night. Bush spokesman David Sherzer said in an e-mail that the couple thanked Fort Hood's military leaders and hospital staff for the "amazing care they are providing."

I believe President Bush would have traveled thousands of miles to be with wounded military and their families.

Soldier: Obama was our President and not only did trash our economy, but he trashed our health care and refuses to admit that we were targets of Islamic terrorist. But I guess that just a bad dream because here you are.
Prez Bush: Sorry son, but that was not a nightmare, it is our reality. But there is hope, Sarah will take him in 2012, just like Reagan did to Carter.

My point is that the trip to Walter Reed was not in response to the shooting. I heard a news report by Ann Compton last night and she said the trip was scheduled before the shooting.
I’m simply underscoring how lame the O’s response was to the shooting.
