We'll use this to our advantage. Use symbols from the pop culture in order to communicate with the uninformed.

This one caught my attention:
ABC's new
V-series had the following line regarding the Visitors] in the closing scene:
Erika: "They are arming themselves with the most powerful weapon out there. Devotion."
Umm Umm Umm came to mind regarding Erika's comment.

It's not about ObamaWell, no, it's about fascism. But if the shoe fits, let's let Obama wear it.

Maybe ABC should pull future episodes and run “The Path to 911 again.” (aka “Clinton’s fault.”)

These are warning signs that portend future actions, folks, just like Dr. Hasan's openly disloyal "stand up against the aggressor" comments, and his refusal of Special Orders to deploy.
Similarly, the WH taking on Fox News, Zero's refusal to properly do a civilian salute during a very public Pledge of Allegiance, and his worldwide apologizing-for-America tour portend his harvest of deathcare and cap-and-trade, his non-allegiance to America in favor of Black Liberation Theology and his continuing series of betrayals against America's exceptionalism and values.

Somebody in Hollywood must have been asleep at the switch in order for Vs thoughtcrimes to make it past the drawing board, but now that the Left has noticed, its time to crack down: On the drawing board it is just a remake of the original V which was hardly an original idea. Space creatures pretend to be friendly, but really want to eat us. Do the words "It's a cookbook!" strike any chords? Other than the many similarities to the tried and true earthly methods of totalitarians - take over the press, fervent youth groups, thugs breaking up opposition meetings - the direct comparisons to Obama with references to hope, change and universal health care could have been put in minutes before the shooting instead of needing to be green lighted (lit?) by the network months beforehand.
Peters has been demoted to exec producer, a largely honorary title and has been replaced by former The Shield and Chuck alum Scott Rosenbaum.
I haven't heard any reason why other than paranoids (who sometimes do have real enemies) hinting that the replacement was because of governmental pressure or a network decision to make it less political. Has anyone heard from people with real information? The most common cause for this type of replacement is running over budget and behind schedule. If you take two weeks to provide every episode you will quickly be replaced.

I hate it when "The Network" sticks it's hand into the creative areas of a series. It never works out for the better and usually ruins a good show.
Let's say that "The Network" airs a program, WTF: Whiskey Team 5 and it becomes a huge hit. It is dark, gritty, action packed. The characters are hugely popular especially Lieko, the Asian female operative. "The Network" is thrilled with success of WTF:Whiskey Team 5 except that it is appealing too much to one demographic. "The Network" decides that the only way to make WTF:Whiskey Team 5 an even bigger hit is to appeal to more women. So "The Network" demands of the writers that Lieko be given a love interest, and maybe kids.
Others in the network start putting up their own ideas. WTF:Whiskey Team 5 Starts addressing environmental issue in the midst of blowing stuff up and breaking things. Lieko's popularity sinks and is written out. The action intensive show is considered too violent by "The Network" so more emphasis is place on the characters relationships. More actors leave the show. WTF:Whiskey Team 5 becomes WTF:Whiskey Team Force. In a last ditch appeal for viewers, "The Network" goes after the gay demographic and demands that one of the original characters comes out as gay. In the end, the viewers are left with just, WTF

Coming soon?:
"ABC is not really a news organization; its really not entertainment, its pushing a point of view and the bigger thing is that other entertainment organizations like yours, ought not to treat them that way. And were not going to treat them that way, were going to appear on their shows and participate, but understanding that they represent a point of view.

I don’t care if it’s an intentional satire. This is a country where we are free to express ourselves, and the Obama supporters are not official censors. They should shut up and take it, just like we have taken the tasteless, mean-spirited crap they have thrown at us for years.

Messages aside, I watched V with great expectations, but found it deathly dull. I'd have to agree. I wish it had been as good as the new Battlestar Galactica, but instead for me this version of V moved at a glacial pace, the acting was mediocre, and the CGI effects were overplayed. I do have to give a hat tip to the "Anna" character. She came across as both cool, and just a bit alien looking in a beautiful way. I would only hope real aliens look that good; minus the lizard hiding under the skin business, of course!

itself is actually a direct remake of a TV miniseries that first aired in 1983
hmmmm....wasn't that the last time unemployment spiked hit 10.2%? Spooky?
To: popdonnelly
Since V is and was an allegory of FASCISM,
and it was based on a book called “It can’t happen here”,
if the left sees themselves mirrored as FASCISTS,
they should take note.
But, it’s kinda like the women who hate to see anti-abortion messages - they don’t want to have their consciences tweaked, and would rather silence the message than deal with the truth that is being revealed in themselves.

Prediction: given the attention V has gotten since airing, ratings will go up for the next several weeks. Once ABC “revises” it to be PC or pro-Obama, NO ONE will watch it. The libs are already outraged, and will boycott it, and the conservatives will abandon it when it turns.....
