There very little official information about Malik Nidal Husan, the alleged gunman in the Fort Hood shooting.
It's not even clear how exactly his name is spelled. We've seen news reports referring to him as Malik Nadal Husan, Malik Nidal Husan, Malik Nadal Hussan, Malik Nidal Hussan, Nidal Malik Husan, and Nidal Malik Hussan.

Read your American history...Bloody Kansas...John Brown’s raid on Harper Ferry.
What we are seeing today is 1850s Redux; the opening scenes in a Second American Civil War.

Agreed. 9mm FMJ (Full Metal Jacket) aka "hardball" ammo will go right through a person and into the next so long as it doesn't strike a large solid mass, such as the pelvic structure. But even then, I think it stands a good chance of exiting a body and striking the next. As you've said, it's VERY good at penetrating. A single round of this type (hardball) fired into a crowd is definitely going to injure more than one person. These rounds aren't "particularly" destructive though and generally people who are struck in non vital areas have very high survival and recovery rate so long as they get proper medical attention soon thereafter.
Your supposition of rounds fired based on magazine capacity goes along with what I've read recently about mortality rates and rounds fired during handgun encounters. I'm not trying to underplay the loss we've suffered with this ROP idiot shooter, but the mortality rate in this attack is only 26%, compared to an average of between (about) 46% and 52%.
The low mortality rate is almost certainly due to MILSPEC "hardball" ammo. While he may have penetrated fewer people had he used hollow point ammo, the damage inflicted on soft targets is much more pronounced and time to assist becomes much shortened and CRITICAL.

Interesting supposition. If he had fired 35 Golden Saber JHPs instead of 35 FMJs, he might have killed 18 and wounded 18, etc.

I’m grateful that the malicious creep didn’t have an M-4 and a couple of 30 round magazines.

Beretta 92FS holds 15 rounds. The guy could easily pack a half dozen magazines and do significant damage.

I have mags for my Beretta M92FS that fit flush and hold 18 rds. I have six of them. I have one that sticks out just a tad and it holds 20. Most factory Beretta mags are 15 with one in the tube that confirms your number of 16. Want to know how fast a Beretta can be fired? Remember the first LETHAL WEAPON movie? The scene where Riggs shoots at the chopper? Yeah, took me about five viewings to count the shots.

A plausible scenario. I was just thinking that packed in ‘like sardines’ in a confined area.

It must have been the guy who posted to you... I think it was post 37 that has been deleted.

Yes, thats so, after it was reported that he was a Chinese student it turned out that he was adopted from Korea. I do remember that now. That initial report may have caused Ismail Ax to have become merged with Haiyang Zhu (from Ningbo with a large muslim community) who also "wasnt muslim" but decided to decapitate his girlfriend in the Virginia Tech campus cafe anyway.
There is a sizable muslim population on campus and far too many muslim coincidences.

You’re right. It is him. I think what happened is that the channel I was watching was showing his picture while they were interviewing his cousin by phone. My mistake!

I haven’t thought of that angle, but I wouldn’t put anything evil like that past Obama and his Buds - They are a pack of Leftist revolutionaries with the destruction of the USA their primary goal.
Civil war in 2010?
Stay tuned.

Turns out he was using a 5.7mm FN and that gun typically has a mag capacity of at least 20. It was suggested as a possible PDW for tankers when it first came out. The media (of course) is calling it the COP KILLER gun because there are AP rounds available that will pierce a cops vest. What they're too stoooopid to realize is that AP ammo will not also expand and simply drill neat little survivable holes, even if it does manage to get thru a vest. Unless a major organ is hit and probably requiring multiple strikes the odds of surviving are really very good.

This foul mohammedan pig was born a FMP, grew up an FMP, joined the Army as an FMP, and killed a bunch of Soldiers as an FMP. No conversion.
