We still don’t know what was behind the killings at Ft. Hood this afternoon, in which 11 soldiers and the killer died, but President Obama’s rushed press conference was surprising in its flippancy nonetheless. Before he got to the issue on everyone’s mind — namely the deaths of Americans in uniform — the president gave a “shout-out” to government bureaucrats gathered for a previously scheduled conference at the Interior Department, complete with appreciative chuckles. He treated the event like a pep rally rather than a tragic occasion with a wider audience than those gathered in the room. I wonder how many media outlets will compare Obama’s performance to President Bush’s “Pet Goat” moment on 9/11. I won’t hold my breath.
I thought the same thing. He looks absolutely beside himself with glee. His very persona tells the truth -- he can't fake his satisfaction. His words only mock. He is a lie, a dangerous lie.
Notice the applause was very scant when Mao gave his shout out.
His statement was something like "and I want to give a shout out to my friend, Joe Medicine Crow, Congressional Medal of Honor winner."
Dr. Joseph Medicine Crow is a distinguished historian of the Crow nation. Please note...he's a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Bronze Star Medal, the Congressional Gold Medal and the Légion d'honneur. Not the Congressional Medal of Honor. Medicine Crow did serve in the 103rd Infantry Division in World War II, and won a Bronze Star for it. But NOT a CMOH. Ever.

0BOzo’s flippancy once more confirms my belief that his “concerned visit” to Dover AFB was nothing more than a political photo op. He’s a muzzie and probably supports the actions of his “brother”.
0bama was playing the crowd for laughs and looked like he was on the campaign trail.
That’s what I was thinking while listening to 0bama; and posted to the main thread. (”What a pet goat moment that was. Clueless, pants-down, prompterless 0bama.”)
But the bad rap GWB got, nobody’s going to duplicate by criticizing Zero. Different standards for affirmative action presidents.
And nobody "wins" a CMH. It's not a Nobel Prize. It is earned.

Obama is clearly not a good speaker without a TelePrompter. This is just one more example. I wouldn’t read much more into it than that.

Forget the telepromter. This moment showed us exactly what 0bama thinks of the military that he is presently ignoring in Afganistan and only using them for photo opps when they come back dead. I remain disgusted but not surprised.

As much as I dislike his politics, there is no way I can even imagine that this incident, or ANY that kills Americans, would make him happy. If you really believe that you’re further right than he is left.
