Highlighting even further the ratings erosion at CNN in prime time, the Most Trusted Name in News finished in fourth place among cable news outlets during election coverage last night.
Fox News was #1 by a mile, followed by MSNBC, then CNN sister network HLN and CNN in 4th place. They were fourth in both total viewers and the A25-54 demographic.
CNNs 4th place finish last night was only made more glaring because last years election coverage on the network was their best night of all time. They didnt just have more viewers than every other cable news network last year it was the most of all time.
Heres the ratings breakdown in prime time last night:
FNC: 4,043,000 in total viewers (1,130,000 in A25-54)
MSNBC: 974,000 in total viewers (308,000 in A25-54)
HLN: 842,000 in total viewers (341,000 in A25-54)
CNN: 826,000 in total viewers (227,000 in A25-54)

The thing is, CNN could actually take on Fox if they actually wanted to, but their political bias is more important to them than their ratings are.
They could come up with a new theme and actually put 50% “real Conservatives” on air, and actually compete head to head with Fox. MSNBC could do the same if they only wanted to, but their left leaning agenda is more important to them than ratings as well.
And to think that CNN’s ratings were actually on the increase during the eighteen months that Glenn Beck hosted a show there.
CNN lost its leftist audience to MSNBC.
Yeah, I know I had it turned to CNN that night, during Lou Dobbs.
Dobbs can be good.
The only person I can even tolerate is Lou Dobbs.
Jack Cafferty, Rick Sanchez, Campbell Brown, James Carville and all the rest of them completely disgust me.
Beck wasn’t on the normal CNN network, he was on CNN HLN.
I stand corrected. Thanks.
The left has gone so far as to send bullets into Dobbs’ home.
Whorealdo told Roger Ailes that he would NOT tolerate Dobbs coming to FNC.
Actually, I love that Dobbs is on CNN. It drives the left to madness.
Who’s catchin’ and who’s pitchin’. I bet Anderson is getting the tea bag eh?
I’ve hated Whorealdo ever since the Iraq war started.
Remember when he was drawing troop movements in the sand?
Yes. Dubya ordered Roger Ailes to get that ba$tard out of the war zone.
At some point, you have to decide whether you want to stay in business or change your practices. Adapt or die.
