For the first time in my life, I'm proud to be a resident of New Jersey

Posted on 11/03/2009 9:47:41 PM PST by sheaheysakman

Michelle Obama stated last year that for the first time, she was proud to be an American while her husband led the Democratic primary for the Presidency. In her honor, let me state that for the first time in my life, I am proud to say I am from New Jersey. I am proud to say that Govenor-Elect Chris Christie has an opportunity to clean up the turmoil that in New Jersey politics. I am proud that Govenor-Elect Christie can put the brakes on runaway spending on unions and liberal special interests. Finally, I am proud that Govenor-Elect Christie has defeated not only Govenor Corzine, but the President, the SEIU, the NEA, and every entrenched liberal of New Jersey.

I was more happy to see Corzine lose than to see Christie win, I would have been a lot happier if Lonegan won.

I’m still stung at Obama winning this state by over 15%. I still want to go to a more friendly state like Texas. I wish Christie luck, but the obstacles may be too great to overcome.

I don’t know much about Chris Christie. He does seem like a likeable, down to earth fellow.

But you New Jerseyians need hold Christie to his platform of lowering taxes, cutting spending and creating a pro business enviorment. If he becomes a RINO, in 2013 you need to show him the same door you all showed Corzine tonight.

Her? Who? NO, I was talking about George Snuffalofolus (I'll learn how to spell his name when he learns how to report instead of retort)

He was on Nitelite and was spinning something wonderful about the NJ race results. But, yeah, I DO confuse him with someone from Sesame St, who couldn't? (him or most of the new'casters?)

Ha, Ha,

I thought you were talking about Newt's gal from NY "Scozzafava", I forgot about George.

The thought of her being the big red elephant "Snuffleupagus" from Sesame St. made me laugh!

Must be getting late, I'm getting slightly giddy here, thanks for the laugh!
