Last year Mr Gore's venture capital firm loaned a small California firm $75m to develop energy-saving technology.
The company, Silver Spring Networks, produces hardware and software to make the electricity grid more efficient.
The deal appeared to pay off in a big way last week, when the Energy Department announced $3.4 billion in smart grid grants, the New York Times reports. Of the total, more than $560 million went to utilities with which Silver Spring has contracts.
(snip)
Mr Gore had said that he is simply putting his money where his mouth is.
"Do you think there is something wrong with being active in business in this country?" Mr. Gore said. "I am proud of it. I am proud of it."

The country will have to change their life-styles because of Gore's investments. The Global Warming is crap, he makes money off of pushing this crap and the rest of us have to used those stupid harmful light bulbs, adjust our thermonstats and lower our standard of living so he and Tipper can continue to fly around the world like Phucking royal dictators!
He's lived a silver spoon life growing up and now has found a way to increase his money off the backs of the rest of the country!

Mr Gore had said that he is simply putting his money where his mouth is. No, I believe Gore is putting his mouth where his money is, like Peloski and others.

Yup, what really causes so-called “global warming” is venture capital. As usual, just follow the money.

This is exactly their goal - a neo-feudalist system.
And the elitists on the left excuse this kind of thing because every one of them considers themselves to BE “elite”.

I’ve got to give Gore credit for this. He’s come up with a bigger scam, carbon credit trading, than selling bottled water. Which until lately I thought was the best scam in history.
