Response to Vice President Biden's Comments Today About My Position On Energy Independence (Palin Be

Palin's Latest Facebook Note

As the vice president knows, I have always advocated an all-of-the-above approach to American energy independence. Among other things, my alternative energy goal for Alaska sits at 50 percent because Alaska reached more than 20 percent during my term in office. The Obama-Biden administration, on the other hand, recently announced a renewable goal of only 25 percent. However, domestic drilling should remain a top priority in order to meet America’s consumption and security needs.

The vice president’s extreme opposition to domestic energy development goes all the way back to 1973 when he opposed the Alaska pipeline bill. As Ann Coulter pointed out, “Biden cast one of only five votes against the pipeline that has produced more than 15 billion barrels of oil, supplied nearly 20 percent of this nation’s oil, created tens of thousands of jobs, added hundreds of billions of dollars to the U.S. economy and reduced money transfers to the nation’s enemies by about the same amount.”

This nonsensical opposition to American domestic energy development continues to this day. Apparently the Obama-Biden administration only approves of offshore drilling in Brazil, where it will provide security and jobs for Brazilians. This election is about American security and American jobs.

There’s one way to tell Vice President Biden that we’re tired of folks in Washington distorting our message and hampering our nation’s progress: Hoffman, Baby, Hoffman!

“I want a presidential candidate who is not a rank amateur. Is that not enough?”

So did we, but 53% voted for Zero. Palin, to this day, has more executive experience.

Let me guess... You must be among those who believed Biden held his own against Palin in the VP debate. (I’ve never posted to a troll before, so thanks for the opportunity.)

“It’s just not a fair fight.”

And she’s hot. Hotter and smarter than anything they could hope to come up with. Ann Coulter’s never had kids, which was the excuse for Ann being hotter and smarter than anything the left could come up with.

Palin’s had kids, and she’s better looking than her husband, which is a tall order, smarter, and maybe tougher.

I know this is all in good, complimentary fun...albeit, I believe since her husband will have a very tough job and be in the limelight and shadow at all times, the more we build him up the better. I don’t think making light of him is a good idea. We need him to be strong as ever.

Sorry ... even for somebody as weak and amateurish as Obama, 9 months in the Oval Office beats 2 years as governor of Alaska.

Let me guess... You must be among those who believed Biden held his own against Palin in the VP debate.

That's true. In fact, you can go back and check: I panned her performance on the night of the debate. Palin certainly didn't "win" that debate. She booted most of her chances to score real points, either by sounding ignorant, or by engaging in stupid sound-bite attempts. Biden was, predictably, a nitwit -- but to those who hadn't been paying much attention to the issues, he sounded far more convincing and knowledgeable than Palin did.

(I’ve never posted to a troll before, so thanks for the opportunity.)

Sigh... you got me. 11 years I've been a mole here, just biding my time waiting to pounce on Sarah Palin, and you with your piercing intellect smoked me out in no time! Good Lord -- what is it about you folks that makes you so predictably vapid?

All of that she isn't qualified was hashed over and over during the 08 race. She was and is more qualified than either plugs or Obambi.

The Obama-Biden Administration only believes in Nuclear Power in Iran, not the United States.

At least they’re consistent little Traitors, aren’t they?

Biden the bafffooon getting his arse handed to him (again) by an Alaskan gal who is the real deal. Just another wake-up call to Biden which he will be uninspired to answer.

...and so it goes.

No worries. Obama/Biden will be out of office in 2012 and the repair work will commence then.

Geez man, give it up.
Still trying to defend your indefensible position?
Maybe you can enlighten all of us regarding each past President and how they came into office with the experience to take on the world.
Name ONE President since Bush Sr. with any “worldly” experience beyond being Governor.
Even better, name one with LESS experience than our current President...
9 months in the Oval Office beats 2 years as governor of Alaska.
What kind of ridiculous argument is that?!
He obviously didn't have that experience when he ran.
You're really reaching...

the only place Democrats want to drill is YOUR WALLET

Well, that and each other.

When they 'drill' it's not for production. It's only for recreation.

What A Fisherman Says About Sarah Palin
by Dewie Whetsell, Alaskan Fisherman

As posted in comments on Greta Van Susteren’s article referencing the MoveOn.org ad about Sarah Palin.

The last 45 of my 66 years I’ve spent in a commercial fishing town in Alaska. I understand Alaska politics but never understood national politics well until this last year. Here’s the breaking point: Neither side of the Palin controversy gets it. It’s not about persona, style, rhetoric, it’s about doing things. Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I’m about to mention here.

1- Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governor’s office away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republican’s “Corrupt Bastards Club” (CBC) and sent them packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits. The Democrats reacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing “la la la la” (well, you know how they are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar. But while you’re thinking, I’ll continue.

2- Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So, she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called “ACES”. Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them “don’t let the door hit you in the stern on your way out.” They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar.

3- The other thing she did when she walked into the governor’s office is she got the list of State requests for federal funding for projects, known as “pork”. She went through the list, took 85% of them and placed them in the “when-hell-freezes-over” stack. She let locals know that if we need something built, we’ll pay for it ourselves. Maybe she figured she could use the money she got from selling the previous governor’s jet because it was extravagant. Maybe she could use the money she saved by dismissing the governor’s cook (remarking that she could cook for her own family), giving back the State vehicle issued to her, maintaining that she already had a car, and dismissing her State provided security force (never mentioning-I imagine-that she’s packing heat herself). I’m still waiting to hear the names of those other governors.

4- Now, even with her much-ridiculed “gosh and golly” mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn’t impress you, then you’re trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other hand.

5- For 30 years, Exxon held a lease to do exploratory drilling at a place called Point Thompson. They made excuses the entire time why they couldn’t start drilling. In truth they were holding it like an investment. No governor for 30 years could make them get started. This summer, she told them she was revoking their lease and kicking them out. They protested and threatened court action. She shrugged and reminded them that she knew the way to the court house. Alaska won again.

6- President Obama wants the nation to be on 25% renewable resources for electricity by 2025. Sarah went to the legislature and submitted her plan for Alaska to be at 50% renewable by 2025. We are already at 25%. I can give you more specifics about things done, as opposed to style and persona . Everybody wants to be cool, sound cool, look cool. But that’s just a cover-up. I’m still waiting to hear from liberals the names of other governors who can match what mine has done in two and a half years. I won’t be holding my breath.

By the way, she was content to return to AK after the national election and go to work, but the haters wouldn’t let her. Now these adolescent screechers are obviously not scuba divers.. And no one ever told them what happens when you continually jab and pester a barracuda. Without warning, it will spin around and tear your face off. Shoulda known better.

I am in the energy business and I support Sarah Palin.

Yea, but c’mon, how can any of that even COMPARE to the experience gained by being a “community organizer”?!

What sort of advanced American history are you covering? A particular chronological period, an intellectual or disciplinary approach, or a movement per se? (Just wondering what was being covered that portrayed the US as a bully).

Sarah Palin stated that her experience as the mayor of Wasilla, Alaska was “sort of like being a community organizer, except that you have actual responsibilities.” :>)

If you read what she said its quite clear what she supports. Perhaps thats why you don’t like her, because you don’t actually read what she says.

“As you well know, Sarah Palin has an image problem with the general public. The only way she’s going to get out from under it, is to demonstrate that she’s a serious person, with serious policies that deserve serious debate.”

She has an image problem with communists and other America haters. The general public loves her.

Also, she has an image problem with the wishy washy who go along with whoever is the biggest bully in the vicinity. Meaning, they most often side with the left and repeat whatever the left says because they want them to like them and think they are smart also.

“She’s got to lay serious groundwork among the general public, and she’s not doing it.”

She is the reason McCain even had a chance of beating BO.

The general public loves her, its the progressives that don’t.
