Palin's Latest Facebook Note
As the vice president knows, I have always advocated an all-of-the-above approach to American energy independence. Among other things, my alternative energy goal for Alaska sits at 50 percent because Alaska reached more than 20 percent during my term in office. The Obama-Biden administration, on the other hand, recently announced a renewable goal of only 25 percent. However, domestic drilling should remain a top priority in order to meet Americas consumption and security needs.
The vice presidents extreme opposition to domestic energy development goes all the way back to 1973 when he opposed the Alaska pipeline bill. As Ann Coulter pointed out, Biden cast one of only five votes against the pipeline that has produced more than 15 billion barrels of oil, supplied nearly 20 percent of this nations oil, created tens of thousands of jobs, added hundreds of billions of dollars to the U.S. economy and reduced money transfers to the nations enemies by about the same amount.
This nonsensical opposition to American domestic energy development continues to this day. Apparently the Obama-Biden administration only approves of offshore drilling in Brazil, where it will provide security and jobs for Brazilians. This election is about American security and American jobs.
Theres one way to tell Vice President Biden that were tired of folks in Washington distorting our message and hampering our nations progress: Hoffman, Baby, Hoffman!
- Sarah Palin
Oh Doug...that is a goldmine...will do ASAP!
Dude, you need a vacation, either that or better reading comprehension.
It’s not about Sarah as Presidential material, it’s about Sarah, as us.
Most on here get it, tell me why don’t you?
IF we ever are going to get our party back and elect a person with true conservative values and one that never compromises, then guess what? It is “us” as the electorate, that must first not compromise.
This Train only has one track, and that’s fine with me!
Full steam ahead!
Good post.
My question for everyone is “why was this post necessary?”
Who here is obtuse enough to [pretend to] not know these things?
That stuff plays great with the already-convinced, but it doesn't address her real political problem, which is that the general public does not take her seriously.
Why?
Some people have not learned the risks of posting
while under the influence of public education.
Hahahahaha - that would have made a GREAT Carnac question!
:-)
IMO, she did score a goal with this one. What qualifications did Obozo have for POTUS? For that matter, how about Biden for VP? What have either one of them done except live off the public dole? As for policy, Sarah has done a pretty good job of identifying her position with regard to energy issues. I was able to understand what her position is and what she was proposing. I’m not sure why it is so hard for others to understand. While I agree she has a long way to go before she is ready for a run for POTUS, I do not agree she does not possess the skills/abilities needed for that office.
Sarah really is acting like the head of the Republican party that we should have. I hope it becomes official in some capacity in the near future.
Well, what's different is the young generation has a broad but very shallow understanding of all the new technology, as opposed to older engineers who had to understand their subjects in great depth. You've already got kids who are Tweeting all day, maintaining profiles on multiple social networking sites, and texting all sorts of complex media files to their friends over their phones...but can't operate a cash register or make change to save their lives. So it's going to be interesting when the Facebook generation starts taking over sole programming responsibility for nuclear plant embedded systems, airliner avionics, and the like.
“Apparently the Obama-Biden administration only approves of offshore drilling in Brazil”
Especially since 0bama’s boss, George Soros had just sunk million$ into an investment there. But I’m SURE that was just coincidence. /sarc
That's a very nice list, Jo, similar to what you or I could compile.
Sarah Palin has a political problem, however, that lists of "what she's for" will not solve. She is not taken seriously by the folks whose votes she would need in order to win.
To counter that, Sarah Palin needs to demonstrate that she's intellectually capable of dealing with the items on the list. She must show that she can back those things up with realistic and achievable policies; and she's got to demonstrate that she can defend them in debate.
She may be up to the task, but I haven't been impressed by her attempts so far. This facebook post is unfortunately typical.
Well you will just never get it,like arguing with a left wing lib. Do you not like women or conservatives? Which is it?
Actually, I see her acting as the head of the “non-denominational” conservative movement.
The GOP can join up if they want, I guess.
I want a presidential candidate who is not a rank amateur. Is that not enough?
[... the general public does not take her seriously...]
Gotcha!
Obviously, you are a liberal who mainlines anti-American
media. Who are they to speak for the “general public”?
They are elitists, living in a closed system. They are
dieing, don’tcha know? All closed systems eventually die.
Don’t be closed.
As to her intellectual capabilities...? If the likes of
arrogant sycophants like Biden, Gore, Obummer and Pelosi
represent your intellectual litmus, then God help anyone
in her way. It’s not even a fair fight.
Who else you got? Mitt? Huckster? Pawlenty?
Who are your prefered presidential candidates? What role do you see for Palin with the GOP?
Sarah Palin —> an adult... the voice of reason and common sense
Sarah Palin —> an adult... the voice of reason and common sense
Do what I did: manufacture a phony name and phony DOB, just to join Facebook to support Palin. Then you are not bothered by people wanting to be your “friend”. Also, then you are personally off the grid.
