YouTube allows Iraqi Sniper video to stay for almost 4 months (and counting)
YouTube ^

This video linked here contains 13 sniper shots upon coalition forces.

Specifically at:

1:21
1:50
2:45
3:23
3:47
4:26
5:03
5:28
6:44
7:20
7:45
8:05

There are several other instances where it appears that there may have been a sniper shot, but it's not so clear as the 13 listed above.

Some will say that we can't tell what this video is really saying because we can't translate from Arabic, etc.  The terrorist symbol in the upper left, coupled with the superimposed image of former President Bush over flag draped coffins leaves little to translate.  This is enemy propaganda pure and simple.

This video was posted to YouTube's servers on July 9, 2009 -- almost 4 months ago.  It has been flagged multiple times by many different people, and yet it still resides on YouTube.
There is no doubt that this video is used to encourage our enemy who is actively killing our countrymen and our allies.  These videos are the Tokyo Rose of our day. Their "intent was to disrupt the morale of Allied forces listening to the broadcast near the Japanese mainland."
These videos are our enemy trying to influence our committment to this war and also to encourage other terrorists to join forces with them.  Hey YouTube - whose side are you on?

And before someone whines about me denying someone their free speech rights by flagging this piece of video propaganda, please remember that I have as much right to practice MY free speech as does anyone else.  And while we're at it, the bill of rights guarantees free speech to citizens of the United States, not to our enemies at war.

It’s important also to note that this video is behind an “over 18 only” wall. This indicates that someone at YouTube has actually reviewed this video and determined it was ok to stay. Proof that YouTube needs to check out where their loyalties lie.

On the other hand, there may be some lessons to be learned. Notice how many times the target is distracted, looking in the wrong direction...

I forget, which FReeper is it that whines about us rooting for our side, as it were, on Youtube?

Personally, I think that the people who run Youtube should do time in the slam for leaving these videos up, provided our government cannot stomach putting them in front of a firing squad.

Chuckster is one - I’m sure there have been others. And as per FReeper etiquette now I must ping him to let him know he’s been talked about. Ugh!

Youtube has a world-wide membership/audience.

There are quite a few ‘jihadi’ videos. So what.

There are tons more USA military videos that are much, much cooler.

Let em beat this (above)!

Agreed. But the "so what" is that by hosting these videos YouTube is violating executive orders. They are providing services to the enemy. You might think that doesn't matter so much, but I challenge you to read this....

Taliban Steps Boldly in 2007, Invades YouTube.

If I could post this at FR, I would, but wired.com is blocked. This article tells that the Taliban use YouTube basically because it's free bandwidth.
