U.S. helicopters watch as insurgents blow themselves up. Apache gunships with the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, TF Pegasus, observe insurgents in the act of emplacing an Improvised Explosive Device in southern Afghanistan. But before the Apaches moves in for the strike, the insurgents’ bomb goes off, killing them in the act.

I just can’t watch enough of them videos always a happy ending,unfortunately more were not converged around the bomb should have been a family event.

Darn it, one walked down the embankment just prior to the explosion and it looked like he escaped the full force of it.

The caption said this was taken by a helicopter, but you would think the insurgents would notice a helicopter circling that close.
I mean, hey... after the explosion there was debris on the camera lens. It couldn’t have been that far away.
Helicopters are so common in war zones, you almost don’t notice them sometimes.
The word for virgin properly translated = “White Raisins”.
