What a suck libtard.

***The reality that I’ve come to accept is that in today’s political arena, you must be able to back up your message with money—and as I’ve been outspent on both sides, I’ve been unable to effectively address many of the charges that have been made about my record.***

Translation: I don’t have the millions to be able to drown out the folks that have my record correct.

***But as I’ve said from the start of this campaign, this election is not about me, it’s about the people of this district. ***

Translation: The people of this area are retards.

***”It is increasingly clear that pressure is mounting on many of my supporters to shift their support. ***

Translation: The money has dried up and my supporters are melting away like a snowball on the sidewalk on a warm sunny day.

***Consequently, I hereby release those individuals who have endorsed and supported my campaign to transfer their support as they see fit to do so. I am and have always been a proud Republican.***

Translation: WTF happened? I was a good party member. I don’t understand why everyone is dumping on me.

***It is my hope that with my actions today, my party will emerge stronger and our district and our nation can take an important step towards restoring the enduring strength and economic prosperity that has defined us for generations.”***

Translation: I’d better be well rewarded for this or there’ll be hell to pay because I know some party secrets.

***On Election Day my name will appear on the ballot, but victory is unlikely. To those who support me – and to those who choose not to – I offer my sincerest thanks. Dede***

Translation: stomp stomp stomp It’s NOT FAIIRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!! WAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Oh really. Since she considered running as a DEM I find this a bit hard to believe.
I guess that we shall see what we shall see.

ps: Yo Newt, chew on THIS for a while you spineless RINO.

"I hereby release those individuals who have endorsed and supported my campaign to transfer their support as they see fit to do so. I am and have always been a proud Republican."

Talking out of both sides of her liberal pie hole.

If she's so "proud" to be a Republican, why would she release her supporters to "transfer their support as they see fit?"

This is precisely why you're out of the race, Dede. You have no concept of core principles or convictions. You're clearly signaling that you want your supporters to move to the Democrat in the race. Transparent and despicable.

Scuzzy fava beans is trying to keep in good graces with the Republican party or else she might find real opposition if she wants to retain her NYS position.

Go Doug.

This isn’t won yet. The dimwits are spending lots of money.

Will the NRCC now step up the attacks against Owens?

I agree. I used to have a lot of respect for Newt...now I don’t.

It is time each and everyone of us make a stand...no more pandering like Newt does...

We need true conservatives in office to rid our country of the ongoing disgrace...to life, liberty and the persuit of happiness...

This woman was an avowed baby-killer and a supporter of homosexual marriage. She was running for the wrong party. Newt showed himself to be just another cynical politician.

There was a report earlier this week that the NRCC pulled out of the election totally.

That may change now, but since Doug isn't a Republican I don't know.

Newt who? You mean the guy that promised term limits, until he got the power! The team that sold out principles for power. GOP-me-to big spenders. Look what they gave us; McNasty’s ieptness gave is The One. Time to dump these professional politicians with some real conservatives.

re: in today’s political arena, you must be able to back up your message with money

True, but only to a point. Had she been using the money she spent to present herself as an advocate and supporter of a cause that conservatives endorsed the funds would have gone a lot further.

However, if that’s the reason she wants to give, then more power to her. Dale Carnegie years and years ago pointed out the importance of giving an opponent a way of changing sides or dropping out and saving face in the process.

It would do a lot of people good to read his book “How to Win Friends and Influence People.”

I just hope her voters don’t break to the Democrat.

Well, it’s jumping the gun to say she is throwing her support to Hoffman.

What she said was that she was “releasing” her supporters from their commitment to her, and that they are now free to vote however they want.

That isn’t an endorsement.

Also, it’s odd language, as if anyone could be forced to vote one way or another. We are free to go into the voting booth and vote however we choose.

Wow. Hell just froze over. I thought for sure that she was going this to make it easier for Owens to win.

Read her ‘it sucks to quit’ speech. She’s not happy about the outcome and I don’t think that she really cares about Hoffman winning.
