Media smothered poll brings sobering bad news for Barack Obama: We don’t like him or Congress!
The Collins Report ^ | October 30, 2009 | Kevin "Coach" Collins

Posted on 10/30/2009 6:02:30 AM PDT by jmaroneps37

On October 16, the results of a Harris Interactive poll on Barack Obama were quietly posted. Because it was bad news for him, it was released on a Friday afternoon so it could be buried on Saturday and you would miss it.

The report started with some blunt language, “President Obama may have won the Nobel Peace Prize, but unfortunately, he is not winning accolades from the American public as his job approval rating continues its downward slide.”

Numbers tell the story

Americans have run out of good will toward Obama. We don’t like what we see in him.

In September we were evenly split (49/51 against him), but in October 2293 adult respondents expressed a clear 45/55 bias against Obama.

Of course Democrats are more supportive than Republicans by 77/14%, but Independents have soured on Obama and side against him 40/60.

Obama has lost the youngest Americans (18 to 32). The group which supported him 66/34 has all but abandoned their hero and now barely supports him 51/49.

Seniors whose support for Obama was unenthusiastic last November at 47% are now fully convinced he’s not the man they want running our country. Seniors are against Obama 39/61%.

Congress slipping toward 2006 and 2008 approve/disapprove numbers

A very sobering 84% of Americans see the job performance of the Democrat controlled Congress negatively.

Right track/wrong track as viewed by average Americans falling as well

Harris reported the number of Americans who think our country is on the wrong track has continued moving downward. In August those saying “Right track” was 46%. In September the same survey found 42% thought we are on the “Right Track” but by October that group had fallen to just 39%.

While its findings were higher, The Wall Street Journal’s “Right/Wrong Track” at 36/52 isn’t much different.

Funny how we haven't heard too much about this poll, isn't it?

I do not put any stock in Congressional approval polls. HRH Pelosi’s approval rating might be 1%, but her approval rating in her district is 110%, and she’ll most likely win with at least 105% of the vote, regardless of what her “national” approval rating is.

Has to be buried, that way when Acorn and SEUI rig the elections next week no one will be suspicious.

A great many Americans do not like Obama -- but, if the media doesn't tell them that they do not like Obama, those Americans will never know.

There is no logic in the propaganda being shoveled at us. Like telling us that Obama has created a million jobs. Unemployment is the highest it's been in decades -- and he's telling us that he's created lots of jobs?? And the media is trying to hide from us the fact that we're unhappy??

These people are idiots.

No wonder we haven’t seen any polls lately. Under GW we would see them 4-5 times per day, now nothing except polls in the press room where he’s slipped to 92% approval.

Pray for America’s Freedom

No, we havent heard much about this poll, and FNC is as much to blame as anyone.

Yesterday I was watching Beck’s show, and noticed the scroll on the bottom of the screen that showed poll numbers that were MUCH more favorable for the usurper than this poll is.

So, why is FNC displaying more flattering polls for the Marxist???

That, and it doesn’t do much good for pinheads to finally discover what they could’ve known before they pulled the lever for Barry & Co-that they’re BAD for America. They could’ve known this when it mattered, there weren’t any secrets. Now they’ve given them the practically unchecked (the rats sure see it that way) power to have their way this country.

Yes, but having a local politician who is a Pelosi lapdog can hurt in that district, if that is used. Last election cycle most voters did not even realize it was Democrats who controlled the house.

That scares me more than the results of the election.

For the most part FNC uses the same polling companies as the rest of the msm. Overweighted with dems every time.

Just a *little* too close to his campaign crowd reactions, isn’t it?

Creepy.

Exactly. I want to see a poll that asks "will you vote to re-elect your current congress-critter/senator?". National polls on congress mean nothing.

You and I, both. I listen to Hannity’s Man-in-the-Street Thursday segment sometimes, when I can stand it. You hear an endless parade of 18-25 year-olds who can’t name the three branches of government, have no idea what Congress is or what it does, can’t name a single Supreme Court Justice, no clue what they’re about or what the issues are- most of them cannot name the Vice President of the United States.

But by golly, they all voted in the last election. For the young, hip guy. Whatever his name is, Obama something. Because Change is Good. And the Republicans are why everything is so screwed up. After all- everybody knows that.

Just for fun, I want to listen to one of those segments while my blood pressure is being medically monitored. It’ll look like a graph of the Dow over the past year- flipped upside down.

That’s what happens when they poll the “chattering class”. They need to poll the correct people and then they’ll get the answers that congress wants.

I'm sure we all remember that cartoon we saw IN GRADE SCHOOL about how a bill becomes a law.

The little one-page cartoon bill had a little ribbon around it, then it was marched from the House to the Senate and then over to the President's desk.

Don't they show that in GRADE SCHOOL anymore?
