A specious argument. The Taliban is not the Afghanistan Government...this is like blaming the Us in general for the policies that Liberal Aholes in San Francisco foist on all of the US because of their reckless stand on illegal aliens...they are a sanctuary city and host illegals that may or may not be committing atrocities...so it is with the Taliban who hold territories within Afghanistan and terrorize the local people...this is a TRIBAL country that does not resemble Iraq and we have no business there...punishing this country with a war is insane and would be like declaring war on the US because of San Francisco’s policies...it makes no sense anymore...and personally, that is why I am getting really pissed that we have troops on the ground getting killed without a mission, without a plan and without an enemy of the state...the Taliban has no interest or ability in “coming after us” they are too busy terrorizing the local populace and dominating them...if you want to nation build, this is the wrong place to do it because there is no centralized government that can respond to aid...this is an insane mission that has veered out of control because there is no leadership...Zero has to fish or cut bait...Afghans are no more allowing this shit to happen than YOU are allowing San Francisco to host illegals and not even deport them when they have commited crimes...

The only way to do that is to turn it into a parking lot...have at it...just don’t think that you will figure a way to build a nation where there isn’t one...when will we learn this lesson? I can’t disagree with much of what you said. I’m only interested in protecting Americans... well SOME Americans anyway.
I have no interest in nation building. That is a relic of compassionate conservatism which only results in getting our good soldiers killed.
