The fact that she’s married to a LEO is a valid point. You have to wonder, if any other woman had called, would the police dept. have bothered to push the issue so far? She and her husband must have some influence there and are pushing the issue.
I’ve lived in several different places including a city, smaller towns, and places with low and high rates of crime. It has been my experience that, generally, the police don’t want to be bothered. They just want to file a report and then forget about it. And I’ve had to call for REAL crimes - the last one involved me being threatened by a man on the street following an argument. The police response was: Oh, well, you shouldn’t have argued with the man. (Actually, I have reason to believe the guy himself was a cop, and they were covering for him, but I digress.) Typically, any woman who would call and report that she’d caught sight of a man in his own home when she was walking through his property would be laughed at.
She probably got their attention because her husband is a cop. Either that is what’s driving this case, or there’s nothing else for the police to do in that town. ;-)
I read that guy's post and immediately spotted him as one of the anti-jack-booted thugs crowd, just like I spotted that the orginal article was not so truthful.
I just had to google his name and 'jack-booted thugs' to see the crowd he hangs out with. This article was written and posted to bring out their type.
This is totally hillarious! I just googled you and ‘jack-booted thugs’. You are one of them along with Still Thinking and the poster of this article! Y’all are so funny, it is hillarious!
You are outed. You can call him a jack-booted thug now.

Yeah, that was the other reason the woman’s husband’s occupation might conceivably be relevant. I thought about that too, but I forgot to mention it. (If he picks up on that he’ll say I “lied”.) I wouldn’t try to convince ColdWater though. I don’t know how man times I told him I cared very little to not at all that the woman was a cop’s wife. He’s completely unreasoning despite repeated attempts to explain politely. He obviously has a burr up his butt about this issue for some reason beyond what he’s put in his posts.
I even went so far as to google “still thinking jack booted thugs” like he said, and most hits were random pages that just had those five words in them. So I added freerepublic.com and put “Still Thinking” in quotes, and the relevance got a little better plus revealing an obvious flaw to his idea. Most of this hits were for this very thread, where I never used the phrase once. By his “logic”, he must be a cop hater.
Now, like you, I don’t know if I ever used the phrase or not. If I did, and was doing so in a way that purported to represent my own judgement, rather than in reference, I’m sure I was in a thread about people who could aptly be described in that way. My point in telling you about how hard it is to find relevant pages by Googling, and even harder (maybe impossible) to find damning evidence, is that he’s either bluffing or he actually opened pages beyond the first twenty hits or so which is something only an obsessed person would do. Even with hits narrowed to better relevance, I got bored after about the first 6. That idiot is like a rabid dog or something.
