Let me first apologize to Rush Limbaugh.
Last week in explaining why NFL commissioner Roger Goodell needed to put an end to Limbaugh's latest publicity stunt, I attributed racially insensitive quotes to Limbaugh that I read in two Missouri newspapers, saw on CNN and confirmed through a Google search. Prior to posting the article, I never found a denial of these quotes by Limbaugh, and had no reason to believe those statements were not true.
It was unfair to Limbaugh. And I regret that. I've commented on some of his earlier controversies. I've long been an admirer of his broadcasting skills.
For the most part, I've never taken his political commentary all that seriously. There are virtually no modern-day political figures that I take seriously. Politics and politicians are too dishonest and too controlled by financial influences for my taste. I've never participated in American politics. I've never voted.
I am not right wing or left wing, Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative. I'm not beholden to any political agenda. An examination of my work at FOXSports.com, the Kansas City Star and/or any of the places I've worked previously would reveal a free-thinking, hardcore independent.
I dislike and distrust everybody equally.

” I attributed racially insensitive quotes to Limbaugh”
As I said months ago ... First they came after Dr. Savage and Rush was silent. Next they will go after Rush.
Sounds to me like Rush’s lawyers had a little talk with Mr. Whitlock.
This guy has been served papers by Limbaugh’s lawyers. His pathetic lawyers wrote this for him to try and blunt the judgement that is to come. Rush is going to send a bus full of “journalists” to the poor house.
A little talk won’t do anything...people see ACTIONS not words...
For somebody who says he dislikes politics and politicians, he really could teach them a them a thing or two about duplicity.
Taking a page from the Official Obama Criticizer, Bo Snerdly, I’d like to offer my translation of this statement:
Crack’dawg was about to drop a suit on my ass...my bad, Rush...(nudge, wink)
I am hoping it backfired this time..and maybe rush was biding his time to exploit their weakness for using the race card.
“I never found a denial of these quotes by Limbaugh,”
I found that both interesting and telling. It’s not the first time I’ve seen race baiters use that line about limbaugh.
I am sure it killed him to have to publicly apologize...those darn defense lawyers.
Upon reading this revelation, it was abundantly clear that this individual does not have anything to say of any worth!
From the rest of the article:
“But on most days I see Limbaugh for exactly what he is: America’s most successful race hustler.
He delights in labeling Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton as “race hustlers,” but not surprisingly Limbaugh fails to inform his massive radio audience that he hustles the same game as Jesse and Al, just on the white side of the fence.”
GAG ME
But on most days I see Limbaugh for exactly what he is: America's most successful race hustler.
He delights in labeling Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton as "race hustlers," but not surprisingly Limbaugh fails to inform his massive radio audience that he hustles the same game as Jesse and Al, just on the white side of the fence.
limbaugh's radio empire is built on the foundation of convincing white America that the country our forefathers stole from Native Americans is being stolen by blacks and Mexicans. Barack Obama's election to the presidency breathed new life into Rush's radio schtick.
I think that about gets it.
Oh, and white people are racists who have no beef if other people rob and kill them, since they're no better. Must be all that white-on-black crime that has the author putting on the robes of racial judge and jury, social justice for to dispense.
That said, he dislikes and distrusts everybody equally, by his own profession. He says.
You are spot on target. At least he’s not subtle...
Kudos to Jason Whitlock for having the courtesy to set things straight. Jason is a very good sports writer, and having read many of his columns over the past few years I can say with confidence that he definitely has never worried about being politically correct.
And by the way, I generally agree with his opinion of politicians.
Jason Whitlock is an ignorant turd whittler.
More idiotic, liberal equivocation, passing as wisdom. It would be funny if it wasn’t so prevalent..
Jason Whitlock is an asshole and the Kansas City Star is fishwrap.
