A dozen conservative publications and blogs are calling on New York 23 special election nominee Dede Scozzafava (R) to withdraw from the race. The online editorials, including from National Review, Washington Times, Washington Examiner and RedState.com, were all published at around noon today.

Great idea. Dede resign.
We can win two contests at once: (1) Vote down Obama’s socialist, big government agenda by voting a conservative into the House of Rep. And (2) vote down the GOP’s disdain for us voters by giving us Dede in the ballot.
Does Newt still endorse her?
It will be much sweeter for Hoffman to win on the Conservative ticket. RNC can you hear us now.
Oh, for Gawd's sake-- look at this:

As if there werent enough reasons to oppose radical leftist Dede Scozzafavas GOP candidacy in the NY-23 special election, add one more to the list:
Shes a liar.

"This isnt a RINO but a DIABLO - Democrat In All But Label Only."
My God.......what was Newt thinking???
Doug Hoffman is the Conservative alternative in this race (or Hoffman by PayPal).
Markos Moulitsas, founder of The Daily Kos has endorsed Scozzafava. Dede Scozzafava has also been endorsed by NYSUT, the largest labor union in New York, and an affiliate of the National Education Association.
Scozzafava also holds these positions:
Scozzafava has also run in past elections on the Working Families Party (a progressive party associated with ACORN) line on the ballot.
This lady isn’t a RINO, she is a big “R” libeRal democRat. Mark Steyn has coined the term DIABLO for her and others like her. Democrat In All But Label Only.
There are also at least 17 unprincipled DIABLO enablers in the house who have donated funds or otherwise supported to this LibeRal democRat's DIABLO’s campaign. They include Boehner, Cantor, Sessions, Hensarling, Brown-Waite and McCotter. I don’t have a full list, but I will be looking for it. These unprincipled enablers should be targeted for elimination in the primaries next year. Also, perhaps those of us who donated to the RNC or RCCC should ask for our money back so we can support the conservative candidates of our choice.

I support Doug Hoffman for Congress (PayPal). Please, spread the word about this important election on November 3, 2009 in New York’s 23rd congressional district. |
I keep hearing the “pundits” say Dede has a better chance of winning because up liberal NY voters. Bullhonkey. I live in the district which borders the NY-23rd and it is NOT a liberal district.
"Why did I get that lobotomy again"?
I just sent my second email to newt.org about NY-23.
I cannot guess his motive for supporting a socialist.
We should bombard him with email and let him know we are boycotting his books.
I donated $100 tonight to Hoffman. I wish I could give more since I am not in his district but close.
But conservatives all over need to send a message that we are fed up with this Congress and are going to vote in reps that actually represent our views.
I gave what I could, too. I wish I could do more, that is why I keep spreading the word. The grass roots online has been helping Hoffman by an incredible amount. Check that link above.

Amen. It is time the left has to deal with the deceitful... wait all on the left are deceitful snakes.
If only we can get “yellow dog” Republicans to switch in mass in that district. How?
Same here, I live in the 21st, or should I say the People's Republic of the 21st. Which is probably one of the most liberal districts in upstate NY. And you're right; NY 23 is not a liberal district. The GOP elite want to keep conservatives from the table as much as the Libdems do; that's why the NY GOP forged this unholy alliance with Dede.
If Hoffmann doesn’t win, let the Dems have this seat for a year; one less GOP seat won't make any difference right now. Next year there will be a primary for this seat, and the voters not the party bosses, will pick the candidate. I'm sure they'll do much better then NY GOP did.
Hopefully the NY GOP and the RNC shape up for 2010. Run RINOS; good luck getting the House back.
Is it too late for you to move into that district and register to vote there?
Wouldn’t it be great if this turned out to be the catalyst or the spark that rapidly allowed a new pro-American and Conservative party to take over? I wish it was under the name “Constitution Party” That is a great Brand Name, if you ask me.
We need Sarah to make a stand. She needs to get off the fence and stop worrying about the Republican establishment.
She needs to visit Watertown and have a massive rally.
But $ will help to buy TV ads and get the message out there.
