I keep hearing the “pundits” say Dede has a better chance of winning because up liberal NY voters. Bullhonkey. I live in the district which borders the NY-23rd and it is NOT a liberal district.
Same here, I live in the 21st, or should I say the People's Republic of the 21st. Which is probably one of the most liberal districts in upstate NY. And you're right; NY 23 is not a liberal district. The GOP elite want to keep conservatives from the table as much as the Libdems do; that's why the NY GOP forged this unholy alliance with Dede.
If Hoffmann doesn’t win, let the Dems have this seat for a year; one less GOP seat won't make any difference right now. Next year there will be a primary for this seat, and the voters not the party bosses, will pick the candidate. I'm sure they'll do much better then NY GOP did.
Hopefully the NY GOP and the RNC shape up for 2010. Run RINOS; good luck getting the House back.
Is it too late for you to move into that district and register to vote there?
